Chapter 45

Kimiko's P. O. V:

I loom above the blue skinned man, swords at the ready. I bring them down just as he brings up his own sword. There's a clang as both weapons clash. Kisame sneers at me while I growl back.

I then pull my swords back and chant, "Wolf Claw Frenzy!"

Gripping them backwards, I slash them rapidly for Kisame.

"The hell?!" He exclaims before bringing up Samehada to block or deflect my attacks. I manage to land a slash on his left arm, much to Kisame's shock. I smirk at him.

Itachi comments, "She's quite fast with the sword, I see. You mustn't let her deceive you, Kisame. Kimiko is no ordinary Genin."

"Yeah, I get it!" Kisame yells back.

I activate my Byakugan, watching both rogue ninja jerk their eyes wide before I dash towards Kisame, sheathing my swords. I thrust my palms forward, aiming to block his chakra points. Each time, the Hoshigaki dances out of the way.

Whenever he'd go to swing his massive sword, I would see it coming with my Byakugan and avoid it.

Kisame runs at me and my eyes widen when he swings Samehada around to me. I bend back to avoid it and focus my Lightning Chakra. "Lightning Style: Lightning Fang!"

Lightning bursts from my swords and races across the water at high speeds, having been amplified by the river. Kisame somehow manages to avoid my Jutsu.

I tighten my grip on my swords before I take off at blinding speed, creating a gust of wind as I unleash my full speed. I look before Kisame and slug him in the gut with my knee. Then I reappear behind him and kick Kisame in the back.

"That's getting annoying," He tells me. I see Itachi following me with his Sharingan. "How the fuck is she this fast?!"

"Because I am, duh!" I explain cockily before I shoot toward him. I manage to slug my knee into Kisame's stomach again and knock him back several paces. I take out my closed fans and thrust them forwards. Kisame dodges the first swing but blocks the second. I pull back before slashing at the Akatsuki member again, this time with my fans open.

Kisame and I exchange blow after blow, though I expel bursts of air from my fans from time to time. Kisame dodges most but not all of them. Itachi remains where he is, not bothering to get involved in the fight. I hiss through my teeth when Samehada bites into my right side, shredding my flesh and shirt and absorbing a bit of my chakra.

I jump back a safe distance, glaring at Kisame. I stagger as I gently put a hand to my side, but manage to keep standing above the water. He laughs giddily.

"Oh? It seems as though Samehada loves your chakra, Princess!" He says.

I sheathe my fans and take out my katanas once again. Kisame grins as I dash for him, swords pulled back. I give a cry of exertion as I bring my swords up to slash Kisame across the front.

He narrowly avoids getting chopped in half by jumping back a bit. Kisame smirks at me. "Heh. Nice blades, Princess."

I grit my teeth in frustration before running at him again. Kisame aims a swing for my head but I swiftly release the chakra in my feet before dropping below the surface.

Swords gripped in hand, I whirl around in the water, my hair a dark curtain around me, as I watch Kisame looking at me from above. I get into my crane stance and ready one of my swords. "Kenjutsu: Striking Crane Thrust!"

With a thrust of my katana, I send out a blade of chakra infused wind. Kisame goes to dodge and smirks when he thinks he did.

A line of red drips down his right arm, causing his grin to drop.
