In which you meet during the summer and fall in love

Listen to: Best Part - Daniel Caesar and H.E.R.

It was blistering hot, the sun was blazing, and you were absolutely drenched. Not in sweat, but because your best friend had just pushed you into the water. You both decided to drop by the beach, maybe get a few snapchats.

"What the fuck!" You screamed, she cackled. She lowered her hand to help you get back onto the dock, to which you smirked and used her hand to bring her into the water with you. She gasped out in shock.

"You're such a whore, y/n." She grumbled, making you laugh as you both pulled yourselves out of the water. Luckily, you were smart and brought extra clothes and a towel. So, once you dried off, you two went on a walk, pointing out all the different people, making up backstories.

You had gotten too busy talking and walking backward that you ran into a girl. She spilled her drink on your back, but you felt really bad, it was kind of deserved in a way, you thought. You turned to help her up. "Fuck, I'm so sorry. I'll buy you a new drink." You rambled, your best friend just giggling at you, to which you glared at her.

"It's okay." The girl also let out a small chuckle. You had been too busy apologizing before you took a good look at her. Holy shit.

"Are you..." You trailed off, feeling even more guilty.

"You can say my name," She laughed at your guiltiness. "It's okay." You let out a nervous chuckle. It was Jenna Ortega, how could she not make you nervous?

"I was serious about that drink though." You stammered. She shook her head.

"No, it's okay." She chuckled. You were about to protest again, but she gave you a look that you couldn't go against.

You managed to come up with a compromise, a part of you wanting to get to know her. "How about, the next time we may run into each other, I'll buy you your drink." You looked at her with hopeful eyes, watching as she pondered. Your heart started going faster, hoping she would say yes.

She smiled at you, hesitating to nod her head. "Sure, whatever." She let out a giggle. You gave her a nod, before waving and saying goodbye, completely ignoring the looks that your best friend was giving you the whole time. You dragged her to the car, not even realizing you were flustered. Your stomach flipped around, you bit back a smile.

"Did you just try to bag Jenna Ortega?" She laughed, watching as you pulled out and drove home.

"Don't even right now, I can't believe I was able to talk to her." You muttered.

You were out with your younger sister, treating her because it was her birthday. You both went out to go shop for some little stuff that she liked. You were talking to your sister, telling her about some gossip from your job. You hadn't paid attention and you rammed your shoulder into some girl, making her drop her phone and headset. You dropped down to go help her. "Shit, I'm so sorry."

"Let's not run into each other like this again." The girl let out a chuckle, you recognized that voice, and let out a small groan.

"I'm so sorry." You apologized once again, handing her the headphones. "Crap, I owe you that drink, right?" She raised an eyebrow, nodding. "I'm so sorry, I'm just with my sister and-"

"No, it's okay." Your sister smiled. "I actually see my friend, just give me some money."

"Are you sure? It's your-" She cut you off.
