In which you get caught on live

Listen to: People Watching - Conan Gray

The thing about being famous was the you were going to eventually be edited by fans. They would compile clips of you with whatever videos they could find and add it on beat to different songs. You enjoyed it, it was cute.

Here's the other thing, you have a famous girlfriend, which feels like something completely different. Jenna had just blown up for Wednesday, constantly being edited. It wasn't like you hated it, you loved it. A lot.

Now, you and Jenna don't really run in the same circle. When people see Jenna, they don't immediately think of you. You two hung out a lot, yes, but the public didn't know that you two were dating. You had your own little fanbase, she had hers, often times they could crossover but it was never a lot.

You had met her way back in 2018, you were visiting your best friends; Olivia and Madison. They were filming an episode that Jenna just so happened to star in. You two were young, so you two didn't really keep in contact. Coincidentally, you had friends in many of the movies she was in, so you saw her a lot when you would visit your friends. But you had started talking to her when you met her once again when you were visiting the Scream 5 set for your friend Dylan.

"You just know everyone, don't you?" Jenna teased you, The two of you were hanging out in her trailer while the others were filming some other scenes.

"Hush, it's not that many." You crossed your arms. You bit your inner lip as you kept your eyes away from her.

She huffed. "You've shown up at least once at every set I work at." She argued. She had a point, you somehow knew someone. You didn't need to show up so often, but you did.

"Maybe I just wanna see you, is that not a good thing?" You cocked your head slightly, biting your bottom lip. You bit back a smirk when you saw her roll her eyes and blush. You just stared at her, observing her and her mannerisms. She was on her phone, scrolling around. A sudden strike of boldness hit you. "We should make out."

You giggled as you saw her flush and drop her phone into her lap. "What? Are you being serious right now?"

"I mean, it's a joke if you wanna say it's a joke." You shrugged, a goofy smile still on your face as you went on your phone. You felt her eyes on you as you quietly laughed. You put down your phone and looked at her, you could tell she was thinking. "I was ki-"

"No- I was just- I really like you, so this makes things awkward-" You cut her off with a kiss. You smiled as you felt her relax into it.

"Don't worry I like you too." You mumbled against her lips before kissing her once more.

From then on, the two of you started dating. You two decided that it was better to keep it a secret, which wasn't too difficult. Sure, you had your days, but it was for the best. Plus, no one would expect it.

Jenna preferred to keep things private, not wanting to get roped into the mess of tiktok. She had only one account, only two people she was following (you and her sister, which caused a small scandal) and one video to the public. She mainly used it to keep videos of the two of you, usually posted so that only you, Jenna and her sister could see.

You were someone who was super active on social media, interactive with fans, also using a burner account for fun. You often posted videos, mainly of yourself, very rarely Jenna, and your friends. You often reposted edits of some of your friends and your girlfriend, sometimes with a silly comment, sometimes without. Since you do it so often, your fans never caught onto how you acted when you reposted a video of Jenna. Your burner account was also a small life saver, you could make comments about dating Jenna and all that, everyone would think you're just a crazy fan. It was perfect.

"Jenna, I'm gonna go live, wanna be in it?" You asked your girlfriend, propping your phone up on some juice bottle as you went on the 'live' option.

"Nah, it's okay." She answered, her eyes focused on a book. You nodded, going live. You watched as people kept on joining. You grabbed your other phone, going on spotify and playing some music.

You leaned forward, answering a few different questions that people had. You got bored, going on tiktok. After a few minutes, you totally forgot that you were live and you quietly made comments on different edits of Jenna. There was one particular video that you couldn't scroll away from, your fans were going ballistic in the comments, trying to figure out what video you were watching. You had your bottom lip in between your teeth as you had a small smile.

"Y/n, why do you keep watching the same video over and over again?" Jenna called out, also forgetting you were live. You merely hummed, not paying attention to the question your girlfriend had asked you. You were too focused on the video, that you were still watching. Your fans were going even crazier trying to figure out who was in the house with you. They were playing detective. "Y/n? Baby?" Jenna asked, getting up to go see you.

You finally tore your eyes away from your phone at the sound of Jenna getting up. She was already behind you, but you still tried to hide your phone. "Hi." You smiled sweetly, you knew you were caught.

"What are you hiding?" She looked at you suspiciously, her hand on the back of your chair. You were on a bar stool, so the chair span, and you were like the same height as her.

"Nothing!" You chirped, pecking her lips.

She nodded slowly, still suspicious. "Can I see?" She asked. The two of you fell into a little staring contest, you feigned innocence. You bit your inner cheek, feeling a little embarrassed.

"Here." You gave in, giving the girl your phone. You avoided her eyes, looking around. Your eyes caught onto the phone which was on the verge of blowing up at the amount of comments. You felt your jaw slack, you froze.

"You're such a dork, it's just a video of me." She giggled, watching the video. When she didn't hear you respond, she looked at you. "What?" She followed your line of sight and saw your phone. "Oh."

You quickly grabbed the phone, ending the live. "Jenna, I'm so fucking sorry-"

"Y/n, it's okay." She put her hand on your bicep, a smile on her lips. "It's about time, two years is a lot."

You furrowed your eyebrows. "You sure?" She nodded with a giggle, leaning in to kiss you.

"Now, we should talk about that video." She teased against your lips. You huffed before placing your lips against hers once more.

You started to feel your phone buzzing more often than normal, so you pulled away from your girlfriend and opened instagram. You were tagged in videos of you and Jenna kissing on live and how they found the video they were looking at you. You had mistakenly reposted and commented on your main account.

Your eyes went wide as you saw how your phone tried it's best to keep up with the notifications. "What'd you do this time?" Jenna giggled, looking over at your phone.

"Not only did I forget I was on live, I also forgot to switch accounts. Oh my fucking god." You mumbled, making your girlfriend laugh once more.
