Farmer love. modern au and no murder!

Now Playing: Enchanted - Taylor Swift

"Where the fuck are we...?" You peered over the top of the steering wheel. You glanced at your best friend who shrugged. "Fucking check our location, dumbass."

You'd look between the road and her, making sure you weren't going to crash into any houses or people. "I think we're in a town." She was aggressively zooming in and out on her phone.

"No shit, which town?" You saw a light flick on, pulling your attention to it. "Shit." You gripped the steering wheel even tighter. Your best friend looked over at you, noticing how your knuckles were going white. You can sense her eyes widening. "My car isn't going to make it."

"I told you we should've used my car!" You roll your eyes at her. The two of you had argued during the days leading up to the road trip on whether you should take your pink Vintage Mustang or her red Toyota Corolla. You said it would look cooler and be much more fun to take yours, she said that it would be better for gas to take hers.

"Whatever," You glanced around, furrowing your eyebrows as you exit the town. "Okay, I'm pretty sure this isn't a town." You kept on driving, carefully checking your instrument panel every now and then.

"What could it be then?" Her eyes were still glued to her phone as she tried to figure out where on earth the two of you were.

You looked around, seeing fields and fields with a small barn not too far. "I'm pretty sure we're at a farm. I don't know how in the fuck you thought it was a town." You let out a yelp when she slapped your shoulder.

"Fuck you." You let out a chuckle as you kept on driving. "Do you think you could fix your car?"

You pursed your lips as you checked it once more. "I'm sure I can, it might take a while though. We could ask them if we could just stay." You turned towards the barn.

"Yeah, farmers are pretty cool." You rolled your eyes pulling up to the property.

You got out of the car to go and chat up the owner. You found yourself at a door with a screen, so you knocked on the door and crossed your arms as you waited. When the door opened, it was a man in a cowboy hat, who seemed to be quite a bit older than you. You could hear moaning in the back, making you widen your eyes out of shock. What on earth did you do? "Hi, sir, um- My friend and I are trying to make out way to Dallas but my car is about to break down, and we need a place to stay at while I go and fix it. I don't want to intrude though."

He looked at you up and down. "Why didn't ya stop in the town?" He had a very strong country accent, you can tell that he's been living out her for a while.

"Because I didn't see that there's an issue until we passed by the town. I'd drive back, but I don't know how long we're going to last." He took a hit out of a cigarette that you didn't even realize he had. There was even more moaning in the back.

"You gon' fix it yourself?" You nodded. "Just you and your friend?" You nodded once more. He looked at you once more, as if he was examining you. "How long you gon' stay?"

You didn't even want to do the math. "Not sure, a day at the least." That was quite the estimation, you weren't even entirely sure what you needed to fix.

"Why don't you call an uber or that stuff?" By this point, the moaning had stopped, and you were slightly relieved. "Or even a tow truck."

You shrugged. "I wanna get this fixed soon." He nodded.

"What is taking you so long at the door?" Another country voice was heard, it was a woman. She had brown hair that was a wavy. "Who're you?" She cocked her hip out to the side.
