Listen to: Call Out My Name - The Weeknd

no spoilers!

Since you were technically an adult, they put you in jail, but someone had bailed you out. You didn't know who, just that you were let off, as long as you left Woodsboro. So, you left.

You did your best to move on, but it was a little hard. Other than the fact that Tara was probably absolutely terrified of you and you were shot and stabbed multiple times, you actually liked Woodsboro. You didn't want to move on from Tara, but you had to. She would still think you were a murderer.

You let out a strained grunt when you were shoved over, it hurt more than it should've, due to your bullet wound. "Watch it." You snapped, your voice raspy. You were pretty sure that you permanently damaged your voice with all the screaming you did. You didn't mind, it actually made you sound a little cooler.

"Y/n?" You felt yourself do a double take. You turned to see Tara Carpenter, very much alive and real, standing right before your eyes. "I thought you were in jail."

"Tara." Sam came up to her sister, not seeing you. Once she did, she covered her sister protectively and took a step back. "Y/n."

You lifted your hand in an awkward wave. "Hi." You cleared your throat and looked around. "Uh W-what are you guys doing here? Woodsboro is like across the country."

"What are you doing here?" You pursed your lips, realizing that Tara was still a little bitter about what happened. "You deserve to be in jail."

"Um, I work here. And live here." You patted the counter. "I did go to jail. Someone paid my bail, I just had to leave." You swallowed thickly, looking at the girl that you never got to officially date. "Look, Tara, I-"

"Save it, y/n." Sam snapped, ushering Tara away.

Right before they could leave, you spoke up. "I'm not stupid, you know." They both stopped at the exit, looking at you.

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

"Just know that when ghostface comes back, and he will, don't call me for help." Tara scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Oh, please, if I didn't promise to protect you, it would've been worse for you guys. You wouldn't even be alive if it wasn't for me."

"Because of you, not only am I traumatized, but so is Sam, and Mindy, and Chad. It's your fault." Tara fired back, making you scoff. She still didn't believe you. "I can guarantee that if you didn't come to Woodsboro, we would've been fine." She wriggled her way out of Sam's grip to get mad at you.

You looked down at her, raising your eyebrow. She was still as beautiful as ever. You noticed that she now had some bangs, swooping out from the middle. "You still don't believe me? Fuck, Tara, what does it take? Hmm?" You stepped closer, staring down at her. "I risked my life for you, I was in jail because I was protecting you. How could you not see that?"

"Oh? Protecting me?" She huffed, not giving into what she thinks is your bullshit. "So, wearing a ghostface costume, making the calls, that's protecting me?"

"It was, what did you want me to do? Speak with them? Oh yeah, let me just tell them that it's not who they are. Because that's a much better solution. They're fucking insane," You shook your head in disappointment. "Tara, I was on a whim, and I just did the first idea that came to mind. And did you even listen to Amber and Richie's little monologue?" You felt a pang in your heart, knowing that Tara doesn't seem like forgiving you anytime soon.

She stayed quiet, trying to think back to what they were saying.

You scoffed in disbelief, taking a step back. "You don't even fucking know. It's not my fault ghostface came back, it's Amber and Richie's. Come on, Sam, you remember." You both looked back to Sam. "Not once did they mention me being included in the killings, only to be framed. Like your sister."

"Tara, come on, let's go." Sam urged, grabbing her sister. But all Tara could do was look at you.

"No matter how much you pretend to hate me, the second you call me, we all will know where you stand." You looked to Sam. "It was nice seeing you, Sam, if you ever need help, I'm here too. You aren't the only one getting blasted on social media about Amber and Richie."
