"Venomous"

_____________

"Derek needs you, whether he wants to admit it or not."

"He's your family, Tye, not mine."

------------

Casey looked like hell apparently, as she noted that Tye's jaw dropped when he saw what she already knew he was looking at.

Casey had an envelope in her hand and she tossed it at Tye, who caught it and he raised his eyebrows. "You can look if you want." She said as she went to get coffee from the machine.

Tye flipped the envelope over and he saw that Casey had written "Derek Hale" on the envelope and he sighed. "Let me guess, since you refuse to accept his apology for the way that he acted, I have to give this to him?" Tye asked and Casey looked over at him.

"You don't have to. But I would definitely appreciate it if you did." Casey replied and Tye picked up his backpack as she looked at him. "Is he angry at you, for listening to my instructions and instincts at the Ice Rink?" She asked and Tye looked at the counter briefly, before he looked at her.

"It's uh, kind of hard to tell with him if he is angry as you know pretty much better than anyone. But no, I don't think that he is. Not this time, I don't think. I just- He knows that I would kill to protect you and that if you gave me instructions or a signal, that I would follow it without question." Tye said and Casey sighed. "I heard it. I mean, I heard you two nights ago. You were screaming like a banshee." He said and she looked at him.

"I needed to let some emotions out. I guess that I needed to scream." Casey said and Tye walked closer to her and he moved his arms around her in a hug. "Are you okay to go to school?" Casey asked softly and Tye nodded. "You sure? I heard that Jackson got "tested" with the Kanima venom last night. Do you know who his next target is?" She asked and Tye sighed.

"Lydia Martin." Tye admitted and Casey looked up at him, as he was taller than her and Tye sighed. "I can try to get Derek to delay it, but I don't think that he will listen to me." Tye said.

"Derek is your brother, Tye, he has to listen to you." Casey said and Tye scoffed as he was shaking his head.

"Yeah maybe, but there is something else that I think you are forgetting about... right now. Derek is my brother, but he is also something else to me." Tye said and Casey stared at him for a second, before she groaned as she remembered what he was referring to.

"Alpha." Casey muttered.

"Alpha." Tye said and Casey sighed. "If Derek decides that Lydia is the Kanima, he will want to kill her. He probably won't do it himself, but I can definitely guarantee that either Isaac or Erica will do it for him. They won't betray him, the link between the alpha and a bitten Beta is too strong." He said.

"Could you resist him? The call of the Alpha, could you resist it if Derek comes calling?" Casey asked and Tye looked at her. "Tye, can you?"

"Casey, I don't know." Tye admitted and Casey looked at him. "You have a plan in mind already, don't you?" He questioned.

"How much does Scott trust you?" She asked.

"Everyone inside, now." Casey ordered and she flung the door closed behind them all.

Tye was delaying Derek, Boyd, Erica and Isaac back at the school and Casey sighed as she looked around at the group. "Don't open any windows or doors unless it is Tye or Scott. This whole house is protected and reinforced against entry by the supernatural." Casey said as she locked the doors and Allison looked at her. "Why are you looking at me?" Casey asked.
