"Condition Terminal (II)"
____________________________

Beatrice had agreed to go out clubbing with Brett, despite her being in a terrible condition at the moment.

--------------------------

"You really couldn't have picked another night?" Beatrice asked with a jaw-breaking yawn as Brett pulled the car up to the Sinema Club and he was looking at her, as she was rubbing her eyes.

"You didn't have to come." Brett pointed out and Beatrice shook her head at the words. "But because you are you, you're going to come with me, because that is what you do. No matter how tired you are?" He asked.

"No matter how tired I am. Now would you unlock the doors?" She asked and Brett quickly unlocked the car doors, and now she was walking quickly after him. "So, am I driving home or are you?" She asked as Brett shook his head.

"We can't ever really get drunk Beatrice. Either of us, don't you remember that?" Brett asked and she shrugged, as he reached out a hand to her and she grabbed his hand quickly and he nodded. "Your turn to knock."

"I hate you." Beatrice muttered and she knocked loudly on the door with her fist, as Hayden Romero came to the door. Beatrice held up a few bills and Hayden looked at her and Brett with a small smile on her face.

"Welcome to Sinema." She said as Brett walked into the club first, and Beatrice looked at Hayden, who was shutting the door.

"Are you really doing okay?" Beatrice asked and Hayden was nodding at the words. "I have more money than I know what to do with, Hayden, I can help. Just ask." She said and Hayden's smile was clear, even in the dark.

"I'll think about it, Bea, but thanks really, thanks for the offer. Now, go on and catch up to your hot boyfriend!" She shouted and Beatrice shook her head.

"Brett is not my boyfriend, Hay." She said and Hayden raised her eyebrows at the words, as Beatrice muttered as Hayden chuckled. "He isn't. Would either of us be here, if he was?" She asked.

"Probably, yeah! It is the hottest clubbing spot in town." Hayden had some good points, as usual as Beatrice was shaking her head. "Just go and have some fun. Ideally, with your not-boyfriend over there." Hayden said as she nodded and Beatrice turned to look at, where Brett was already with a few others and was taking shots.

"Why did I agree to this?" Beatrice muttered to herself as she made her way through the crowd, having no trouble with elbowing people out of the way until she reached Brett, who was sitting in a booth.

"Your not-boyfriend?" He asked and she rolled her eyes at the words and he shrugged.

"Where is the goddamn alchohol already?" Beatrice muttered as Brett handed her a shot and Beatrice drank the entire thing in one go.

"Don't get hungover." Brett said and she shook her head, as she sat down next to him and quickly ducked under his arm, sitting next to him.

"We can't get drunk." Beatrice shot back and Brett grinned at the words and she shrugged, as she was looking around. "Hey, what the hell is Liam doing here?" She asked.

"Probably with Mason." Brett reminded her, pointing out Liam's best friend and Mason was waving at them. "Want to say hi?" He asked and she shrugged, hopping up with him as they walked over.

--------

"Beat, did you catch a scent around here of anyone, or anything?" Brett asked a moment, after they had gathered together.

"I mean, I wasn't looking for one in here. No, I didn't. Why are you asking, Liam?" She was quick to ask and Liam was shaking his head.

"I don't know. I just, I just felt that something was off. Can you all keep your senses open?" Liam asked and she was nodding slightly, as she looked around at the club.

"It's Lucas." Beatrice said and Brett looked at her. "Don't even ask me how I know right now, but I swear to God... Brett, why do you look so worried?"

"Because Mason just introduced himself to Lucas." Brett said and at the words, Beatrice's eyes glowed a bit. "Should you be fighting?"

"I am not leaving you alone to get your tail kicked." Beatrice snapped at him and Brett didn't bother to argue a bit, as he knew better and they were quickly making their way through the crowds.

Brett grabbed Lucas by the back of the shirt and flung him backward and away from Mason, who looked rather stunned at the sight of them.

"Run." Brett snarled as he and Beatrice attacked Lucas, who ran at Brett immediately. He slammed Brett into the wall and Beatrice tackled him from the side.

"Leave him alone!" Beatrice roared and Lucas slashed at her quickly with the spines on his forearms and Brett rejoined the fight, as they were back to attacking him as a team.

Mason had run to find Liam out on the dance floor, as Brett was thrown back and Beatrice quickly skidded along the floor.

Brett roared loudly in pain as the scorpion spines on Lucas' arms were dripping with blood and Beatrice was back on her feet and charging quickly at Lucas, before he could finish the fallen Beta.

Liam and Beatrice were being defeated by Lucas, who had his foot on Beatrice's windpipe as she was choking, trying to roar, or really to do anything, and Liam was pinned by his throat.

Scott sent Lucas flying away from them both, as Beatrice rolled out of the way quickly and she was gasping in air.

Beatrice scrambled over to where Mason was hurrying over to Brett, as he had his hand, now covering the poisoned wound. "What the hell is that thing?" Brett asked as she was shaking her head.

"I would tell you if I knew." Beatrice murmured as she rested her hand on his shoulder and the pain was starting to go away, as she winced. "Can you stand?" Beatrice asked as she looked at Brett, who nodded and she moved his arm across her neck. "Come on. I got you." She said quietly and Brett's eyes flashed as she helped him up. "I got him. You guys just worry about the body." She said as the weird guys in masks had disappeared, right after they had killed Lucas.
