"How the fuck is this possible that you still can't find a fucking clue?" Jungkook barked on the phone. "I want any news by the evening, once done, meet me in my office."
He ended the call and leaned back on the chair head. He think his head might explode. Jimin's death put a strain on his health, it's been two weeks and Jungkook has no fucking clue who did it. He used all his resources but there's nothing that he can find out.
"I'm sorry, Jim, i failed." His eyes were closed, he can't even think that Jimin is gone, and he can't even do anything to help him, to give him justice.
"May i come in?" He heard the fake knocking and the voice following it.
"Yes." Jungkook was super tired, he didn't sleep from last three nights, all he do is try to find the lead to Jimin's murder but he was still standing on the dead end.
"Mr Jeon." Jungkook looked up on the name call. "C-Can i talk to you?"
"What is it, Taehyung?" Jungkook lazily asked. His tired body was not hidden from anyone in the office. Since last three days, Jungkook has hardly left his office, or attended any meeting.
"I-I got my first salary yesterday, you said—— i-i wanted to treat you with my first suh-salary." Taehyung's hands were fiddling and his eyes never once looked up to Jungkook. After killing Jimin he lost all his will to portray anything.
"Congratulations, you've worked hard to earn it." Jungkook's voice has genuine excitement, the proud that showed how worthy Taehyung is in his eyes.
"Thank you sir. Can i take you out today?" Taehyung asked. He saw Jungkook visibly tensing, ever since Jimin's death, something changed in Jungkook. He's not easy to approach as he was before that event.
"I'll tell you in abit." Jungkook replied with a smile, he said. Taehyung didn't press hard, as he knew Jungkook's condition well.
"Sure." Saying that he turned on his heels and went back to his table. Jimin standing near his table still haunts him in his nightmares.
Jungkook ordered a cup of coffee after a while and Taehyung was quick to order him. Jungkook was lacking sleep and it was known to Taehyung as well. He saw how rarely Jungkook has been home and when he is, he never left his room.
Taehyung never knew that Jimin was this close to Jungkook, or that there was a friendship between the boss and the secretary.
"Jin hyung was asking for you." Taehyung told Jungkook as when he was coming back from the cafeteria he saw Jin pacing around the reception.
"Everything okay?" Jungkook held the cup and looked at Taehyung's eyes. He can see that Taehyung is losing weight, and that his hair are also growing unkempt.
"I think so. He said something about you having a meeting with Mr. Wang." Taehyung took a step back and stood there with his hands wrapped around his lower abdomen. "You didn't mention it before so I didn't add it in the schedule."
"Yeah, i was informed this morning so, but it's okay I'll manage." Saying that Jungkook's attention was back at the journal he had in front of him.
"That's?" Taehyung pointed at it and asked. He was hopeful that Jungkook won't mind him asking but when he felt that Jungkook is looking at him with a raised eyebrow, he cleared his throat one more time. "Ah-Apologise, you don't have to answer—-"
"It's Jimin's Journal, he liked to write. I'm hoping that it may help the police officers." Jungkook replied and Taehyung regretted even asking him. His heart sank when he thought what it meant. Maybe Jimin wrote something about it, maybe he disclosed it here and even after doing so much as killing he still isn't safe.
