"𝕸allory, princess, come with me..."

I chewed the inside of my cheek, the previous power and strength surging through my veins weakening consequently from those words spilling from my father's mouth. Admittedly, all i've ever wanted is to have a father that loves me, cares for me, wants me in this way a dad should — like Monty does for James and Sirius, now Regulus. Before, he was in Azkaban, locked away for life, now he's here, and he's calling me sweetly.

Maybe he broke out for me.

He told me he loves me, he loves who I am, and he was sorry for not being with me beforehand, sorry I was forced to be with the Flints — tortured and abused constantly.

He's here now. Free.

They're still staring warningly at each other, my father and Dumbledore, prepared to duel each other like the old times if it came to it and as much as it would be an honour to watch one of the great battles between the two previous lovers and famous wizards, it would get them nowhere. Ignoring the glances from the other four wizards, I absently played with the lionhead ring on my finger, eyebrows furrowing when the foreign words escaped my lips,

"And go where?"

Sirius tensed up alarmingly, sharing a meaningful concerned gaze with his brother when he heard the contemplation and tremble in his witch's tone — one she doesn't often have around others. Perhaps he should have known her father would be a weakness, especially if he's just as successful at manipulating emotions and people — surely she wouldn't fall for him manipulating her. Surely she would realise that's what she's doing.

He nearly reaches to grasp her, hold her, lock her up inside of his arms safely when she stands up against his command, crooking a finger to be closer. She would be happy with him, loved with him, he would love her unconditionally beyond the ends of time, she knows that. He could give her everything she's ever wanted, he would make her his wife one day, they had just said it.

"Rory..."

My legs wobbled and my heart thundered against my ribcage, hearing the uneasiness and protectiveness sharp in Sirius' voice, anxiously chewing on the white stick of the lolli once he'd harshly bitten into it. But my father's reaching out with a gentle smile, tucking some of my snowy hair behind my ears, not paying any mind to Sirius when he bolts upwards, barking out,

"Don't do that! Don't touch her hair like that!"

"No? Is that because you think that's something of yours? Something only you can do to my little girl?" Gellert hums lowly, a twinkle of wildness and wickedness in his eyes when they lower down to his daughter from her boyfriend, asking knowingly with a smirk, "Mallory, the very first time you came to visit me, what did I do?"

I stammered dumbly for a minute, peering upwards into his mirrored monochrome eyes, drowning in the spiralled emotions swirling around my chest overwhelmingly, closing my eyes when he continued to smooth back my snowy locks, whispering just audibly,
