"I don't like the fact that we're back here again."

"We don't really have a choice, do we, Ronald?"

"Ron, Hermione, please, I need to concentrate."

The redhead and the brunette angrily glared at each other while letting the dark-haired boy focus.

"We can't be back at the same place, right?" Hermione asked, huffing a few strands of her loose hair out of her face in anxiety.

"Dumbledore said we would be going to the past, but something doesn't add up," Ron said.

"Right, because last time we went to a parallel universe." Harry reminded them. "Are we back in that universe or are we in ours?"

"Only one way to find out."

Harry, Ron, and Hermione turn around to find Bryce standing behind them.

"Thank God, we thought you got lost." Hermione heaved a sigh of relief, pulling the taller boy into an embrace.

"I've done this too many times to get lost." Bryce laughed.

"Do you know which universe and what timeline we're in, then?" Harry asked.

"I think we're back in the same one," Bryce replied.

"Why the Hell can't we go back to OUR past? Why do we keep getting sent to some parallel universe?" Ron complained.

"Maybe because we can't really change what's already been created in our timeline. But, I think we're in the present for the universe we're in right now." Bryce thought aloud.

"Even I can't understand what you're saying," Hermione said.

"Think of it this way." Bryce started. "There are two universes. Ours and this one. We can't change ours in any way by going back into the past because if we did, it would've already affected us because we know that's how time works. So, when we tried to go into the past, we got sent to an alternate universe, which is currently living in its present."

Even Hermione was confused at Bryce's words.

"And why exactly are we here?" Ron asked.

"Because we wanted to go into the past to change our future. But, our lives can't be changed, so we were sent to a place where we can change them." Harry put two and two together.

"Not to mention, we did not use a time turner, we used a time machine, which I think we should take into consideration-"

"Then, there must be other universes too, right?" Hermione asked, completely cutting Ron off. .

"I've only been here," Bryce said. "So, maybe it's just this one."

"So, you're saying that this universe is a little behind, and with our help, it can change its intended course?" Hermione asked.

"I think so, I mean, it's apparently the present, but our parents are still in school," Bryce noted.

"Magic works in the most weirdest ways ever." Ron mumbled.

"We can't interact in a way that will reveal our identities, remember." Harry reminded them.

"Too late for this one." Ron nudged Bryce.

"As long as I tell him that we're from a different universe and that me existing doesn't do shit to his life, we're good," Bryce explained.

The Sirius Black of this universe knew damn well who Bryce and Harry were. And it was dangerous.
