Long Feedback (5-8 Sentences):

The themes in this work are my favorite since the thought-provoking concepts and angst make this story stand out. The character work is excellent, and I loved the dynamic between Jimin and Jungkook. The characters interact with the themes well because they are vessels for said themes, and when we get scenes where the two of them are talking, free from the trauma they've endured, it's like the readers are receiving a bittersweet hug from a long lost friend. Those scenes are super emotional because they give us a chance to see who these characters are outside of the trauma they endure, which makes the emotions feel much more realistic and the characters feel more layered.

There were grammar errors, but since I already talked about them in my initial review, I won't dwell on them here. I think this story is very strong and it tackles complex themes in a mature and intelligent way.

Overall:

Smile It Off is a dark, mature narrative that shows powerful themes through engaging characters that have a fantastic dynamic. The story feels very realistic and heartbreaking, so if you're looking for a book that will make your eyes sweat, then this is the one for you. I strongly recommend Smile It Off to fans of mature stories that aren't afraid to take the extra step to portray its themes.

This author has demonstrated time and time again that they have a solid grasp on writing and the complexity that goes into it. Whether they are showing it through their own works or in my comment section, I've always noticed that they have a wonderful, deep understanding of the writing world, and I admire and respect them for that.

Re-reading Smile It Off for this review gave new meaning to the themes and characters, which is why I talked about the themes more here than I did in my initial review. I'm glad I got a new perspective and another chance to read this author's work!
