But all this is just a game, not like you'd actually encounter real ghosts. What's there to be afraid of?

Shao Ci climbed to his feet and took a sip of a nutrient drink.

This nutrient drink is the cheapest food, only capable of filling the stomach and providing basic nutrition. Who would have thought that the original host, a young master, would end up in such a destitute state.

Shao Ci hadn't tasted this kind of food in a long time. The last time was probably during the interstellar insect world... strangely, he felt a somewhat nostalgic feeling. Of course, if he had to eat it every day, he'd rather not.

After finishing the drink, Shao Ci hesitated for a moment but decided to check out the game first, to test the waters.

Fortunately, even though the original host was down and out, he still had a holographic helmet. Shao Ci put on the helmet and closed his eyes.

Soon, he found himself in a pitch-black space.

After waiting for what felt like half an eternity with no response, Shao Ci was puzzled. Thinking that the helmet might be old and malfunctioning (...), the next moment, he was suddenly grabbed by the foot, and his body sank.

What the heck?

Shao Ci instinctively struggled, "!!"

However, after being pulled down, he found himself in a blank space with many floating screens.

Shao Ci: "..." So, even entering has to scare you!

Soon, Shao Ci calmed down, walked to the screen, and found various data about the original host.

The original host was only level ten, and in the game, the level was quite important, influencing the HP during the game.

The difficulty of dungeons ranged from S to D. Since the original host's psychic power was damaged, even passing a D-level dungeon was challenging for him. Each death in the game would lead to a one-level drop, so he quickly fell from level thirty to the current level ten.

To pass the academy exams, one had to at least complete a C-level dungeon. Therefore, Shao Ci decided to check out a C-level dungeon first. It's just a game anyway, and dying at most means dropping a level.

Considering the significant difference in psychic power between him and the original host, Shao Ci changed the original host's game name to Spicy Stick Prince (a familiar name indeed).

As for appearance, Shao Ci made some permission settings. While others in the dungeon could see his face, if anyone wanted to watch the game or record the gameplay, Shao Ci's face would appear as a mosaic.

Unfortunately, there wasn't an option for mosaics on horror scenes in the settings... after all, the main purpose of this game was to train psychic power.

Players above level fifteen could enter a space for communication and various transactions.

This was somewhat similar to the previous virtual world. If you achieved the qualification, you could have A residence in the game, and your privileges would increase.

However, if you were below level fifteen, you could only start from this initial page.

After setting everything up, Shao Ci clicked on start.

【Detection of your exceptional psychic power. Automatically assigned to a dungeon of B rank or above.】

【Initiating team formation. Team formation successful.】

【Entering the game.】

Such voices echoed in Shao Ci's ears.

Shao Ci: "!!" Holy cow, so they assign dungeons based on psychic power!
