3RD / NO ONES POV

C/N Cookie walked through one of the many corridors of the citadel, each of their steady footsteps echoing from the walls. Although the kingdom has been faring well and in peace, they couldn't help but think of the horrible situation it was in just a few months ago. With Affogato Cookie's exile, most of his disciples were driven out too. Only a certain priest was allowed to stay, as they were the one who noticed his foul intentions first and didn't just mindlessly follow his commands. C/N Cookie always had a feeling Affogato Cookie wasn't too dedicated to being royal advisor.

Even though they were one of his 'minions', they hadn't just believed he was some sort of god, as he always acted. His other disciples would just have done anything for fortune and being fed sweets all the time. Something that wasn't all too welcome in the Dark Cacao Kingdom anyway. So C/N Cookie honestly never understood that, they were much rather loyal to the king.

Speaking of which, they felt their face heating up a little. Dark Cacao Cookie was an admirable hero, and despite his pretty cold personality, he means well. The priest knew that. And they couldn't deny, their loyalty towards him... well, they might have a tiny crush. C/N Cookie let out a sigh. Just a crush? Wouldn't be so sure about that. It also was quite evident how Dark Cacao Cookie seemed to act a bit differently when it came to them. However, it was hard to tell what excactly that difference was. But, maybe it was just because Affogato Cookie used to be their employer? The king was probably doubting their innocence because of that. That thought made C/N Cookie sigh once more. Not at all would they want their king thinking like that about them.

Oh well. They pushed Dark Cacao Cookie out of their head for now. As the priest continued walking, a Cookie came into sight. "Caramel Arrow Cookie!" A smile made its way onto their lips. When the First Watcher had returned from her exile to stop Affogato Cookie, C/N Cookie was the one who let her into the citadel through a secret entrance. After all, both had the same enemy; why not work together? So they got along quite well. Caramel Arrow Cookie seemed a bit suprised at first, but soon returned the grin sent to her. "Hello. Are you faring well?" The priest nodded, though, they couldn't help but notice how the Cookie in front of them seemed a bit worried despite her smile. "Are you? You appear to be troubled.."

The archer shakes her head lightly. "It's king Dark Cacao Cookie." Welp. So much for pushing him out of their head. "W-what about him?" C/N Cookie tries to remain calm. "He's at the tallest wall, and he's been there for almost an hour. Just... looking out into the distance. I'm assuming he's thinking of Dark Choco Cookie, again." She didn't need to say more. "Should I go check up on him?" The first thing that fell from their mouth. Sometimes C/N Cookie is too helpful for their own good. Caramel Arrow Cookie perked up slightly. "Could you do that?" Without waiting for a response, she bowed down as a friendly gesture. "You have my gratitude, noble priest." And with that, she was gone.

C/N Cookie found someone standing at the top of the tallest of choco walls around the citadel. As expected. Creeping closer, they saw how Dark Cacao Cookie was holding a sword, but not his. He was looking down at it with a regretful expression. "My lord?" Said one turned around. "C/N Cookie. What is it that you need?" They decided to get straight to the point, trying hard to not be too smitten by his voice. "I was looking to see how you are." Their gaze travelled to the sword. "Is this Dark Choco Cookie's?" Dark Cacao Cookie looked away, nodding. He started mumbling to no one in particular. "Where did the years go... Was this my fault?"

C/N Cookie stepped closer and put a hand on his shoulder. "None of this was your fault. Dark Choco Cookie may have chosen the wrong path, but he'll find the right one again. And when that time comes, he will return to you. I'm sure of it." They did their best in comforting him, speaking a few more words of solace. After a while, Dark Cacao Cookie's gaze softenes. "I thank you, C/N Cookie. You are not like that foul snake..." And with that, both Cookies looked to the horizon once more. Dark Cacao Cookie thought about the priest's words, the kindness they show. And for the first time ever, he couldn't help but feel his heart skip a beat.
