19 ; a longing reunion

Kakashi woke up earlier than Fuyu- Nami, that morning.

He couldn't help but watch the small figure sleeping soundly beside him. Her white hair had covered most of her face, especially her green eyes. She was definitely tired from telling her story last night.

"How do you know this much?" He remembered asking her. His girlfriend gave him a worn book and suddenly walked towards the bedroom. Flipping to the book, Kakashi read the small entries written by Haru.

It didn't took Kakashi long to find the name of Haru's daughter.

Nami.

Who would have expected? The heir of the Snow Islands is currently living the shinobi life far from home.... and is his lover. He wouldn't question on why she wouldn't want to take the throne because she probably has her reasons. Kakashi wonders if she practices the weird traditions from the island.

Remembering the golden rule, Kakashi hoped his girlfriend is a rebel.

Quite embarassing to admit, Kakashi has been feeling a sudden want to be with Nami/Fuyu for a really long time. He blames Asuma and Kurenai for this peer influence.

He pushed away a strand of hair away from her face. Watching her sleep so peacefully, Kakashi felt a sudden urge to protect her. He hugged her tightly, as if afraid she will run away.

He couldn't imagine if she suddenly decides to take up her throne. Kakashi could not imagine living without her by his side. The Snow Islands and Konoha are so far away from each other, it'll be pure torture to not see her everyday.

"My princess." He pulled her closer to him. Now he understands why she loathed that exact word. She was a real princess, hiding away from reality. Kakashi took in a deep breath.

"Kashi?" That voice of hers sent a shiver down his spine. He coughed before looking at Nami. Her hair was a mess, but she still looked as beautiful as ever.

"You're up early." Mumbling, she tried to wiggle out of Kakashi's embrace. "What's with the hug?" Finally giving up, she turned to face him and peck his nose. Her action was worth it to see the Copy Nin blush.

"It... It's nothing. I just felt like hugging you."

"Hatake, I didn't know you were that bad at lying."

"....." They both stared each other, one was holding the latter's arms while the latter was holding the girl's waist. "I.... don't know what to call you now."

"I guess when it's just us you can call me Nami?" She smiled and cuddled closer to him. "You're so warm, it's cozy."

"Correction; You're the one with an abnormal body temperature." He kissed her forehead playfully.

"We should get out of the bed now, you know." Fuyu screamed when Kakashi pulled her downwards once more. "Hatake-" Her words were unfinished as Kakashi gave her a light kiss.

"Snowy is too happy nowadays. I'm jealous." Anko ate the last piece of dango as Fuyu wanted to grab it. "You should really help me hook Iruka up now."

Fuyu couldn't help but give a non sincere laugh. "You haven't tried approaching him?"

"He's been running away from me." Anko sighed again. "So... you're going to be an examiner for the Chunin Exams?" Fuyu nodded.

"I'm in charge for the second phase." Anko pat her back like a proud mom. "Reminds me of the last Chunin Exams. Make it hard for them, okay? Well, I gotta go. See you later!" And Anko poofed away.

Without paying the bill.

Fuyu turned towards the shopkeeper, hands already waiting for her money. Sighing, Fuyu took out her purse and hoped that Anko slammed into a signpost somewhere.

Heading towards the Hokage's office, Fuyu's journey was halted when she saw a yellow haired guy standing on the roof of the Hokage's office. "Naruto?" Fuyu immediately fasten her pace, quite excited to meet the teenager after 2 and a half years.

"Naruto-" Fuyu's words were caught in her mouth when she saw him talking with his sensei. She watched from afar as the two exchanged words. Fuyu felt a little nostalgic there.

Her perception changed the second she sees Naruto giving her partner a small blue book. If the words Icha-Icha didn't gave out what book it was, the big no entry logo on its cover had done its job.

"Hatake!!!!!!" Fuyu jumped from the roof she was on towards the Hokage's office. Doing a little twirl as she flew across the sky, the kunoichi landed precisely on the roof, with her foot hitting Kakashi's face.

Everyone who was there was shocked by Fuyu's sudden entrance. Ignoring others, Fuyu grabbed Kakashi by his shirt and gave him a deadly look.

"And here I thought you already stopped reading the book." She hissed at Kakashi, her face red as she tries to hold on to her temper. Fuyu took a few deep breaths before dropping the unconscious Kakashi down. "Hello Naruto."

"Remind me not to mess with your temper, Fuyu. Hey, you cut your hair?" She gave a small smile as she turned towards Tsunade and Sakura. "It's still braidable, but I've started to prefer tying it now. Oi, you're awake." She gave Kakashi a pat on his head.

After a few exchange of words, Kakashi brought both Naruto and Sakura to the training grounds to test their abilities after two and a half years of training. They disappeared, only leaving Fuyu with Tsunade. (Jiraiya said he'll talk with Tsunade later)

"I wanted to talk about the Chuunin Exams." Fuyu took out a scroll as she stood in front of Tsunade. "I hope this will be okay for the test. I'm actually quite nervous." Tsunade only replied with a smirk.

"Yah, you'll do well! Now, I actually wanted to ask a few things about you and a certain someone....." Fuyu could only let out a small sigh as she braced herself for Tsunade's question.

"Say.... Sakura, I have a question...."
"Kakashi-sensei is dating Fuyu."

"Oh???! Really??? That's.... nice."
"They fit each other well, right Naruto?"

"Yeah, who knew I actually predicted something right."
