20 ; the odd genin

"And.... that ends your first stage of the Exams." Shikamaru shrugged. Ignoring the happy cheers of genin, Shikamaru looked out of the window. " She wouldn't make an entrance like Anko, would she?"

A sudden smoke appeared out of nowhere. The smoke dissappeared as loud gasps can be heard.

"Hey, sorry I'm late. I had an errand to run." Fuyu waved at him before turning to the genin. "Why are there.... so many?"

"It's your job to cut them to half." Fuyu scoffed at Shikamaru's response. "At this rate......" Fuyu looked at each one of them. She heard the whispers of the genin too well. Ice Princess.

Well, time to live up to her name.

"I think most of you know who I am, judging from your reactions." She glanced at each one of them, surprised as there was a team which seemed to be observing her with huge interest.

"Now, please be prepared as I cut the number of genin so only a quarter of you will pass. Meet me at The Dark Forest by sundown." With that, Fuyu poofed away....

And stumbled into Kakashi's apartment. "Now, where is he?" She looked around to find Kakashi, only to be attacked by Bisuke.

"Boss already left to Suna. He left you a note though." Bisuke gave her a medium sized scroll. "I gotta go. See ya." Bisuke poofed away and left Fuyu all alone. She opened the scroll hastily.

Don't overwork yourself during the exams. Take care.

Smiling, Fuyu kept the scroll and teleported herself to The Dark Forest to prepare for the second stage.

"Alright, the second stage is really simple." Fuyu showed them a scroll in her hand. "Every team will get the same scroll and your job is to find the other half of the scroll and reach the centre of the forest. There's only 10 of it in the forest so...." She gave them a smirk. "All the best. The forest is really dark especially during nightime, hence its name. Questions?"

"We have to go through the whole forest?" A genin from Sunagakure raised her hand. Fuyu remembered Kakashi all of a sudden. She hopes he's okay.

"No, I placed the limits to where you're suppose to go. But, in case you can't see it well...." She did a few handsigns before slamming her hand on the ground. The genin were amaze has a tall ice wall formed around the forest. "There you go. Now... this stage only lasts for the night. So the team who fails to obtain the other half automatically fails." She couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic watching the genin make a horrified face.

"Now take the scrolls and be prepared." She watched as the genin picked up their scroll. She couldn't help but remember her Chunin Exam with her own team. Fuyu wiped out the single tear running down her cheek.

"You're really pretty just as the rumours say." She looked up to see a Genin from Kiri stare at her intensely. "Your boyfriend is a very lucky person."

"Uh... Thanks?" She was starting to blush a little at the genin's words. "Shouldn't you be preparing yourself?"

"You also have a really good control of your gift. I haven't seen an ice wall as tall as that for a few years. The last one to do a wall as tall as that was the king." Fuyu raised her brows at the genin.

"You know, only a Fuyuhana is able to do a wall as tall as that." The genin continued to admire her. Fuyu distanced herself away from the genin. This was getting too creepy. "A Fuyuhana? It's an honour for my skills to be compared to them." Well, that was a horrible lie.

"It is." He moved closer to Fuyu, staring at her with an intense glare. "Your hair is as white as a Fuyuhana. Are you a relative of them?" He then held her face, looking at her eyes curiously. "But your eyes... it's not blue."

"I'm not from that clan." She pushed the kid away. "I don't know where I'm from. You should get ready now. The second stage is almost starting." The genin turned his heel, his final sentence scared the life out of Fuyu.

"You can't hide any longer now, ohime-sama."

The second stage has started, and Fuyu is scared.

"It can't be..." She turned to the stupid ice wall she had created as the border. Weren't the Yuki clan also able to cast a wall as tall as that? She let out a soft sigh as she played with her own hair.

Stupid hair.
Stupid ice.
Stupid, stupid Nami.

She couldn't imagine herself as a queen. Yes, she knows she has a duty to fullfill, but she isn't ready yet. She knew from her father's journal that he had a dream to start a revolution for the kingdom. And it was her duty to create the revolution in her father's name.

Her mind wonder to a certain someone in Sunagakure. She hopes he's alright.

It will be useless to fight the little genin, he seems to know a lot about her clan. Fighting him would only expose her more. She took off her forehead protector, fingers tracing the Konoha symbol on it.

How was she suppose to leave the place she had called home for so long?

She couldn't imagine leaving Konoha. The warm and sunny Konoha. The place where she had lived throughout her childhood. Her second family. Leaving Iruka, Kurenai, Sakura and... Kakashi. She shed a few tears at the thought.

A jounin had appeared to announce that a team had finished the stage. Fuyu wiped her tears away as they teleported to the center of The Dark Forest.

Her eyes widened a little as it was the genin from before whom stood in front of her. His eyes locked with hers, staring into her green orbs with intensity.

"Congratulations. You passed." She gave them her signature small smile as she took the scrolls from them. "Kiri sure has a strong team this year."

"Oh, we're not from the Kiri. We're from the Snow Islands." The only female in the team corrected Fuyu's statement. "We're also the only shinobi team at the Snow Islands, so the council thought it would be good if we became Chunin." Fuyu turned around, her green eyes staring at the three of them with surprise.

That's when she noticed all of them had the same tone of blue for their eyes.
