Chapter Thirteen

"What the..?!"
Austin woke up just to find himself next to Asuza in a very weird condition, Asuzas shirt that he borrowed from Austin was ripped open exposing the sleeping boy's chest that was painted in red. Asuza's face, lips and chest were covered in art of red, trails of red dried liquid were used as paint on his body to draw something which shocked Austin very much since it was in Japanese kanji. Austin without waking the boy searched for his cellphone and immediately followed the kanji's style to search for an English equivalent "Reiji?" He read out in surprise but immediately covered his mouth remembering asuza was asleep.
"Fish!" He got up and immediately rushed to toilet and grabbed a tissue roll with a little water in an empty bottle cap and moistens the tissue starting to slowly slide against asuza's chest and all. "Please don't wake up.." Austin mumbled to himself and started to move his hands faster yet more careful "i have a bad feeling that i did this but what is this red, paint?" Austin looked around but no luck. Then it suddenly hit him that it maybe blood and he started looking for any wound on asuza's body but there was none so he stood up and rushed to bathroom once more and took of his shirt infront of the mirror and thoroughly searched his body but there was absolutely no sign of any bleeding point.
"How did it then..?" Austin was still trying to figure when he raised his head and his eyes went to mirror abruptly where someone was standing behind him which made Austin jump up and almost scream until he realised it was Asuza, at which point he covered his mouth.
"you're awake..!" Austin panicked noticing that the red art was still on the boy's body, he hadn't completely removed it.
"Eh, yes i am" Asuza replied with a carefree tone "would you mind if i take shower here?" Asuza asked hesitantly.
Austin who was trying to cover the mirror at all points with his body said "Sure!"
"Why are you yelling?" Asuza curiously tilted his head.
"No reason! So I'll get you clothes!" Austin laughed pretty weirdly and rushed out leaving Asuza in there.
'Did he really not notice? It was right infront of him in the mirror... Or am i hallucinating?' Austin thought to himself while searching for a new shirt and shorts from the closet. He heard the shower running so he hung the clothes to the bathroom's door knob and sat on bed himself in wait when suddenly tsubaki barged in the room.
"Where's my niisan! You didn't touch him did you!?" She immediately pushed back Austin on bed and climbed over him while holding his collars
"Heh!!! Get off me evil witch!!" Austin struggled.
"My niichan is so innocent and hungry perverts like you are predators to his innocence! Tell me where he is!" She threatened
"In the bathroom, medusa!"Austin pinched her nose on purpose and they both started fighting by clawing eachother like kids.
"What's going on kids?" Third voice that came from the door was of yuna that halted the war momentarily "it's not like i don't enjoy a lovers fight or two but isn't it too early?" Yuna said with a straight face
"We're not lovers!!!!" Both of them said together and continued fighting eachother with words.
At same time Asuza came out of shower with just a towel around his waist and everyone looked towards him. Tsubaki immediately covered Austin's eyes
"Um clothes?" Asuza said innocently, yuna grabbed the clothes from door knob and handed them to Asuza who went back in to get dressed.
"When y'all are done, come downstairs i made breakfast" Yuna said before leaving the room.
Asuza came out fully dressed and tsubaki immediately took him by arm taking her brother outside.
'Did he really not notice at all?' Austin thought to himself

"You're doing well now sweetie, that sudden fever took me by surprise.." Aurora consoled her husband while feeding him by spoon.
"I'm sorry i put you all through trouble, morever everyone's skipping a work day cause of me" Takahashi sat with a bent head with his back resting against the pillow.
"That's cause of the rain kid" Yuna replied opening the windows and letting in fresh air
"I'm older than you!" Takahashi replied with a pouting face at same time Asuza and Tsubaki came into the room
"Oh my ! Tsubaki and Asuza?" Takahashi sat up properly in question while the kids nodded "God, how much have you grown and my little doll has become such a pretty princess" Takahashi pretty much said so like a fanboy.
"Uncle Taki I'm going to become a doctor too like i promised you and then i will.." She looked at Asuza about to say something but then becomes quiet and sad, so does Takahashi and yuna.
"What's with the creepy silence now everyone out, gotta change his clothes than you can take your uncle our for a walk" Aurora broke the silence and everyone started leaving the room slowly.
"My nephew's a really good boy and very brave..I'm so proud of him" Takahashi mumbled to himself but Aurora heard so too "and my niece is the most amazing sister ever, she's really strong.."
"If you make me anymore jealous of kids I'll jump you without considering your sick" Aurora replied with a burning aura.
"But but but... Wha..now you're jealous of kids too.." Takahashi whined first but then giggled "such a possessive waifu"
"Alright let's get you changed" Aurora smiled.

"How nostalgic these woods are...when i was young i used to run all around this place while yuna would run after me to scold me about running" Takahashi walked touching the tree barks and climbing to the steep grounds while Austin, the dog and the twins followed behind.
"Dad be careful, don't trip okay?" Austin warned but in doing so his own foot slipped a little and Tsubaki ended up getting him by arm
"You too kid" Tsubaki mocked and Austin rolled his eyes.
"Asuza kun do you remember when we used to go to the forest to collect apples and then tsubaki would eat half of them on the way home but your grandpa and grandma would still manage to make an apple pie.." Takahashi went on nostalgically while behind him tsubaki and Austin were in elbowing eachother war.
"Uncle did you remember the tree we used to party under with grandpa?" Asuza asked proceeding the fighting kids and moving closer to Takahashi.
"Ah yeah....that red tree..." Takahashi's tone went serious however he only mentioned and it clicked into Austin's memory
"Oh i know that red tree! One with chocolate dark bark, right?!" Austin immediately said
"Eh? What are you talking about kid it died long time ago when there was a big fire in the forest.." Takahashi immediately said with a serious yet angry tone.
"But dad i saw one in the forest yesterday and you know it could be a different tree jeez why are you getting angry.." Austin almost pouted.
"Because we lost grandpa in that great fire 12 years ago idiot.." Tsubaki mumbled with a frown to Austin
"Oh..I'm sorry dad..." Austin apologized but after a pause full of curiosity he closed up to tsubaki "what's it got to do with the red tree.." Austin whispered to tsubaki but wasn't silent enough
"You don't remember?" Asuza asked without looking back in a sort of murmur
"What do you mean? Remember what?" Austin asked raising a brow
"This is ridiculous" Tsubaki went past Austin stamping her feet angrily
"Kids change the topic.." Takahashi sighed
"But remember about what?!" Austin insisted ,yet everyone remained silence until Asuza replied
"Remember about what happened 12 yrs ago......"
