Chapter Forty-Nine

"Lies?"
"What do you mean?"
"Did Reiji lie to us"
Takahashi and Igaraishi immediately bombarded a series of questions on Tsubaki who jumped off the tree and walked towards them.
"No, he probably is not lying but someone is..." She replied holding a book in her arms.
"What do you mean by that?" Igaraishi raised a brow.
"Here have a look at this" she held out a journal and after a little staring igaraishi took it opening it with surprise.
"What is this?" He asked and Takahashi moved closer to look over too.
"My pictures?" Takahashi mumbled.
"Yeah at different times and different dates over different places" she replied.
"Uh so what? It's pretty common for high school girl's to resort to stalking of people they like" igaraishi shrugged.
"No these pictures are before we met" Takahashi leaned over to turn a few pages and his eyes widened.
"I did a double check..some of these pictures are from time she'd be a toddler.. And you know Takahashi san has lived 60+ years as a teenager" Tsubaki replied.
Yuna came into the convo too
"Moreover, there's full details of your daily life to your blood type"
"Was she researching him?" Igaraishi asked a bit surprised "does that mean she knew about us?"
"Probably but that's not it..i did a background check and found that Aurora chan's parents were both scientists, her father died at an early age while her mother eventually retired to raise her by herself but rumors were that she got cancer by being exposed to some dangerous ultraviolet rays" Tsubaki pulls out a picture from her black long jacket of a couple dressed in lab coats.
"No..way.." Takahashi backed a little "i thought her mom was a retired teacher or something"
"How has this anything to do with Reiji?" Igaraishi went on point.
"Ah, that's what freaks me out the most...the part of Austin's birth which is an unnatural phenomenon" Tsubaki started to turn some pages around.
"Yeah i was kind of surprised too hearing Takahashi has a son with human" igaraishi mumbled while Takahashi was trying to process things.
"Look at this" tsubaki paused on a page with a pasted picture and a few written details.
"An egg? That's a big one" igaraishi looks up closely.
"Look carefully, this is not an ordinary egg..also the incubation is different from normal as well.." Tsubaki pointed at the picture.
"Ah you're right" igaraishi replied and Takahashi came forth again to have a look.
"Tsubaki what do you want to say just say it clearly" Takahashi was sort of losing it.
"I'm saying that Aurora chan is not Austin's mother" she stated directly.
"Huh!? The hell are you saying?!" Takahashi got pissed off almost too quickly.
"This egg, it maybe extracted out of someone from our kind at a very early stage and incubated for years before it finally hatched" Tsubaki stated.
"Do you even hear yourself?! Don't make up stuff!" Takahashi yelled yet again.
"It's not impossible... Our kind gives birth differently from humans...at final stage of pregnancy the sai converts into it's anaconda form and then gives birth to an egg that hatches few hours later during that time the vivei guards the egg from being eaten" Igaraishi interrupted "but this is first time I'm hearing of an egg growing outside a sai's body."
"Well it could've taken an effort of upto four years to hatch it in special incubation as mentioned in the journal...it's not impossible if you have good knowledge" Tsubaki shrugged.
"Doesn't mean it's Austin right? I mean i was in hospital where he was born!" Takahashi argued.
"Did you see her giving birth?" Yuna raised a brow but Takahashi's expression showed he hadn't.
"Listen they even got same hair and you know we inherit important genes like hair and eye color from our parents" Takahashi went on again.
"Genes can be modified, science is a dangerous weapon and births can be faked if you've got connections" Tsubaki responded.
"Stop it!" Takahashi punched back into the pillar.
"Calm down, we're not blaming her or anything she might have a good reason for all of it.." Igaraishi placed a hand on his shoulder.
"She probably just wanted a child to get to marry you.." Yuna tried to calm him too "she must've loved you alot"
"So? It still doesn't answer my question.. What does it have do with reiji?" Igaraishi turned to tsubaki.
"Ah about that i looked for the so called reincarnation rituals for the anqui..." She rubbed the back of her neck a bit nervously.
"I donot know about forbidden methods much, reincarnation methods are usually taboos acquired through use of dark arts" igaraishi settled his glasses.
"Yeah me neither but i summoned that hell punisher dude as punishment for hurting my mom and you know they are more familiar with stuff and all..." She got even more nervous.
"Tsubaki say it clearly.." Igaraishi sighed and Takahashi almost made an expression of not wanting to hear it.

"Burn"
Asuza let's loose a lighted matchstick nearby a kerosene stenched house with ferocious eyes. The house immediately catches fire setting off a few equipments to blast inside followed by screaming of a man inside.
"Doctor?" Reiji stood behind him with folded arms.
"No a child molester under skin of a doctor.. He'd always try to cure my blindness by touching me here and there" Asuza turned his back towards the house.
"You should've tortured him more" Reiji sighed but then noticed a sparkle coming from trees in a far off direction "LOOK OUT!"
Reiji suddenly yelled and pushed Asuza away as three arrows strike the ground.
"Arrows?" Asuza mumbled in surprise as he heard the sound of arrows striking the ground.
"Surprise attacks are really cheap" Reiji mumbled staying on guard but then noticed they were being surrounded though the feeling was different from before, he could feel the enormous aura of darkness and the soldiers were no ordinary ones but rather hell's punishers with a man even dangerous then them leading them.
"This aura" Asuza stood up covering his mouth as if trying to avoid the stench.
"Submit!" Reiji yelled and the hell's punishers were eventually bowing to him despite resistance though there were so many it was hard to control everyone.
"Heh? This is weird i thought only us pure bloods can subjugate the Hell's punishers" A voice approached from behind them.
"Ivan.." Reiji mumbled.
The boy walked in and took off his hood exposing his silverish hair still having a black blindfold on.
"And you know my name..should i assume I'm famous?" He smirked.
"Submit!" Asuza yelled too and the rest of Hell's punishers had to get on bending too.
"Boy o boy, two of them?" He sniffed in the air "you almost smell of purebloods intruders..what clan are you from" he tilted his head innocently.
"Asuza retreat!" Reiji said immediately.
"What are you saying Re..." Before Asuza could complete, reiji suddenly jumped and pulled him back because Ivan had just jumped up close to Asuza and it caused such a big hole in the ground as if meteor had crashed.
"We should retreat" Reiji said letting go of Asuza.
"If we're to fail here then what's the point of dragging out Rai sama?" Asuza frowned.
"Listen, this boy doesn't value his life unlike shuichi rai, he has no fear of death..people like that go all out without caring and if they are powerful too then they are most dangerous" Reiji said backing a little.
Ivan jumped out of the huge hole in ground and came at them again but reiji dodged lifting Asuza with him.
"Let me fight him" Asuza clenched his fists "you might be soft on him because you feel guilty about his dad or probably because he's like a younger brother to you but i have no ties"
"Asuza that's not it kid, right now the only reason i can dodge him is because he has a blindfold on otherwise his aim is too perfect!" Reiji kept on dodging the arrows that ivan shot at them.
"Trust in me a little!" Asuza frowned at Reiji who became a bit silent "please keep the hell punishers back and leave it to me!"
Reiji thought it over while dodging then let's Asuza go and moves back focussing his full attention on holding back the Hell's punishers while Asuza smirked thanking him and ran in Ivan's direction.
"Boy o boy did you finally decide to stop running?" Ivan smirked hearing Asuza's swiftly approaching foot steps.
Meanwhile reiji who was busy in managing the rest was a little bit tangled in his own thoughts
Should he really be able to subjugate Hell's punishers like this?
Even if his soul is pure blooded it was odd for his body and blood to be able to harness such a power to control Hell's punishers...
What was going on?

"Reincarnation isn't an easy phenomenon...being fed the flesh of dead and make sacrifices to pull their soul back into a body" she fiddled with her thumbs while everyone stared at her as if waiting for something.

"So?" Igaraishi asked on behalf of other two as well.

"There are a few other conditions... Harsh ones..which are one of the reason I'm convinced that Austin is not Aurora chan's son and was probably one of our kind that hatched unnaturally..." Tsubaki murmurs.

"We know.." Yuna said a bit impatiently.

"One of the important conditions stated...um..that...the body of reincarnation....should be of same bloodline...or else it wont do" She almost whispered.

"What are you getting onto?" Takahashi asked without blinking.

"...Austin might be Reiji's son..."
