Everyone fell silent as Kyle approached his usual spot, the front of the room. Angela, wanting to fill the silence, tried a feeble "good morning" but Kyle either did not hear or chose not to acknowledge her. Once at the front, he turned to face them and clasped his hands.
"Ah, I see most of you are here. Great! But where are the latecomers?" He asked. Everyone turned to Mitchell's seat as he usually knew, or had a snarky comment about where everyone was. The seat was empty. Ah, so Mitch is one of the people missing... does that mean he's dead?! Angela thought. She looked around at everyone to try and see who else was missing. Tess caught her eye and nodded slightly. I think so too. Everyone else was either looking at Kyle, out the window, or at their plates. Nico was surprisingly not eating at all, and his eyes were bloodshot. Maybe it's a nightmare...
