You lay in bed with your husband, staring at the ceiling. It was after midnight and both of you were still wide awake. Jason was on his side, facing you.
"Do you think worms have kidneys?"
"I don't know Jason." You mutter and glance at him.
"Do you think people who are older can see death?"
"Jason! Go to bed, jeez." You roll away from him and he groans. He's quiet for a long time and you think he's gone to bed.
"Do you think that-"
"Jason Grace if you ask one more question like that I'm hurting you and then you're sleeping on the couch." You snap, putting your pillow over your face. You close your eyes and start to drift off.
"To chickens love?"
"Erg!" You sit up and take your pillow, whack in Jason in the face with it. "Get a blanket."
"Oh, come on!" He whines and you glare. He throws your pillow across the room and pulling you into him. "You love me." He mutters and puts his head in the crook of your neck.
"Not enough to listen to your weird questions all night." You respond and he chuckles.
"I love you."
"Love you too, now go to sleep."
