Annie's POV-
I opened my eyes. I closed them immediately as the bright lights made them hurt.

"She's woken up!" Someone said.
"Get the doctor." Another spoke.

I opened my eyes again and looked around.

"Where am I?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.

I looked down and saw a large bandage on my stomach.

"You're in hospital." I looked up and saw Caleb, his hand was on mine.
"Why are you here?"
"I come all this way and all I get is that greeting." He laughed.
"You got stabbed Annie, I wasn't just going to sit and home and wait. Mum and dad are out buying some stuff."

And then I remembered. Liam and Jack stabbed me.

"How long have I been here?" I touched my bandage and winced at the pain.
"Just over 2 days now, you've been in a coma for that long."
"And I guess Luke's at home." I muttered.

I was his girlfriend and he didn't even bother to be at the hospital with me.

"Annie." Caleb whispered.

I looked confused.

"Oh, it must of happened after you got stabbed." He slowly said, he turned around and looked around the room.
"Caleb, what are you on about?"

"Annie, Luke's dead."

"No, don't be stupid he can't be, Caleb, I was the one who got stabbed, Im the one in hospital, in the one with the stab wound in my stomach."

I began to panic, surely Caleb's confused.

"They shot him after they stabbed you, you were both found after the police tracked Luke's car because Emma had rang them in worry. The police said that Luke died at the scene but you could have survived."
"He can't have, don't be silly Caleb, where's Luke?"
"Annie, you're too sad to think seriously, Luke is dead."

Tears came flooding down my eyes. Calebs grip on my hand tightened.
"No. Caleb. Don't. He can't me. No." I cried.
"I'm so sorry Annie." Caleb started to cry.
"No, he couldn't have, no he's not dead, he's not dead." I broke down.

My whole world has fell apart.

I couldn't breath, I couldn't stop crying.

Why me?

Why did everything bad happen to me?

Why does everyone get punished because of me?

Luke died because of me.

If I had never had met him, he wouldn't know jack and if I had never met Liam, he wouldn't be angry with Luke.

And Luke wouldn't have died.

Luke's dead.

Luke's never coming back.

Luke's dead.
