"Welcome-."

"It's Georgia."

"You're both exactly the same."

Sapphire muttered underneath her breath.

"Sorry?"

"Nothing, how can I help you?"

"Well, I was just calling to tell you that —."

Georgia was interrupted, in the background there was shuffling heard and a familiar voice speaking.

"Who are you talking to?"

"Sapphire."

"Gimme the phone."

"N- wait! Hold on!"

"Sapphire!"

"Clarisse."

"I see you're better?"

"Of course. I had taken a nap."

There was a shout in the background.

"More like a deep slumber!"

"Shush, you."

"How are you, Sapphire? Missed me?"

There was a dry chuckle heard before Sapphire's normal calm yet monotone voice was heard.

"Haha. In your wildest dreams."

"There's the Sapphire I know and love."

"Georgia told me you were going to help us track down this serial killer."

"Serial killer?"

"Yeah, the guy that dropped the notes."

"When did Georgia tell you about this?"

"Before she called you. Does that mean I can finally meet you, Sapphire?"

There was a swing of hope from her voice that caused Sapphire to suddenly become taken aback, but she masked it away within seconds.

"Don't get too happy."

"Sorry, I just really want to know how you look like. Since all I know is that you're a girl, who is calm and cool and doesn't judge me."

"Do people judge you?"

"Um, yeah sort of. I used to get bullied, but that's a story for another day. Haha."

There was a small silence that made Sapphire think. Avery was bullied?

"You? Bullied? But you're nothing but —."

"Annoying and ballistic?"

"I was going to say, cheerful and hopeful. But sure that works too."

Sapphire heard Avery chuckle which caused a small smile to turn on her sides.

"I think I'm rubbing off on you, Sapphire."

"Oh really? What makes you say that, Clarisse?"

"Well, for starters you haven't ended the call...yet. As well as you're not throwing any savage comments at me."

"Do you want —."

"No! I mean, uh, I prefer you being this side of yourself."

"Whatever you say, fridge girl."

"Ugh. Are we seriously going with that name?"

"Why, would you rather be called, lone girl?"

"Fridge girl it is."

"Can I ask you a question?"

"You did."

"Sapphire, what does your name begin with?— Please don't end the call!"

There was a long silence that brought Avery thinking that Sapphire might've gotten fed up of her. She waited for a few more moments only to hear,

"D."

And the line we dead.
