"Welcome to the Warehouse Hotline. How can I make your day even more evil?"

"Miss me?"

"Why would I miss you?"

"You're supposed to say, my saviour, Avery, of course I missed you."

Chase rolled her eyes at Avery's comment.

"I'm pretty sure you missed me, since you called."

"And why would I miss you?"

"Because I give you the taunting feeling of the older sister, but the protection of one as well."

Avery could make out the amusement lacing through Chase's tone. Where'd she hear this from?

"What?- How'd you hear this, more importantly from who?"

"Georgia called in earlier asking how I was."

"Georgia..."

Avery trailed off knowing her best friend too well.

"It's okay, Avery. I know you secretly love me."

Avery heard the playfulness run through Chase's tone as she shook her head.

"Oh yeah, do I really remind you of diamond?"

"Ugh, Sapphire!"

Avery groaned as a melodious sound was heard from the other end of the line. Chase's chuckle.

"What? It's kinda funny hearing this stuff."

"For you, not for me."

"Wasn't that the main deal?"

"Sapphire!"

"Relax, I'm messing with you, Clarisse."

"Oh, wow."

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling a lot better, took the medication and had a rest. Now I'm talking to you. What about you?"

"I'm okay."

"Chase, I know that's a lie."

"I am fine. If you wanna hear the other answer then, well I bruised my knuckles punching three punching bags and I met my best friend after a long time."

Avery could hear the smile in her voice.

"Aww, that's so cute."

"And of course the geek of my school, he's changed drastically."

"Interesting, do you have a crush on anyone?"

"Are you asking for an embarrassment?"

"No. Plus, if you did have a crush you can tell me."

Avery smoothly stated.

"Haha. Yeah like how you have a crush on Storm and possibly Cameron."

"I do not!"

Avery gasped.

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that."

Chase shook her head.

"Wow, Sapphire. I know Evan likes you."

"Oh hey, Storm.-"

"Wait, what?"

"Gotcha."

Avery could almost see the smirk crawling onto Chase's lips as she shook her head at her gullibility.

"I will get you next time, Dianna."

"You're welcome to try."

"You're lucky to have me. Aww. Clarisse."

Avery face palmed herself, what had Georgia been telling her.

"Don't worry, Clarisse, I'm lucky to have you as well."

Avery smiled at this.

And the line went dead.
