"Now you have been hard to track down," Zane said to Mac. She was in a different room this time, it was still white all over but it looked more like a laboratory, and this time it had a drain in the middle of the floor. It still looked run down, just not as much as last time though. She could see bags of silvered piled on a tray, but there were a couple of red bags as well.

She tried to shift into either Vamp or War, but the wolfsbane was making her mind foggy, she couldn't remember a thing. Only the store, Jason, and the deli guy.

Jason, she couldn't help but worry about him. Did Zane shoot him? Her heart beat started to pick up, what if he was hurt back in the deli. She shivered her mind going to dark places that she couldn't handle right now.

"What do you want?" Mac said lifting her head. Her hands were up above her head chained in silver once again, this time though it didn't hurt her. But she couldn't find the strength to pull against them or break them. She searched her mind to find a way to talk to the group but it was too foggy. She almost felt human. The first time in months where she felt like her old self. Vulnerable.

"Well, you are here for science," Zane said, he didn't wait a second before throwing something cold in Mac's face. It was liquid silver and it didn't burn or anything just like water was being thrown into her face.

"Thanks," Mac said trying to spit out the silver that went into her mouth. It tingled a bit but still didn't burn.

"I see it still doesn't burn you? That's great." Zane said clapping his hands like a four-year-old. He pulled a lever and she felt water pour down her, a shower head right above her. "Isn't it nice,? it makes cleaning so easy."

"Now onto the second test," Zane said. He grabbed a giant needle filled with blood and brought it over.

"What is that?" Mac asked.

"Vampire blood, I know there is a high chance this will kill you in seconds but I want to see how far science can take us," Zane said.

He didn't wait a second before stabbing it in Mac's leg, she screamed out in pain.

"Fuck you." She shouted when he ripped it out.

Zane kept quiet just staring at her like a kid waiting for dessert. Every minute that passed caused his smile to get bigger and bigger.

"Amazing," Zane said scribbling down a bunch of notes after an hour of him just staring at her. "Simply amazing."

"What is?" Mac asked, looking up at him through the fogginess of her vision.

"You are, I mean nobody's really made it this far and yet here you are," Zane said. In the distance, a bing with off and he jolted up delighted leaving her in the room. "Don't worry I'll be back soon with the second needle." He called out over his shoulder.

"Where is Mac?" Gage asked Jason. Jason and the group looked depressed all week and he has yet to see Mac since last Friday.

"She has the flu why?" Jason said annoyed that Gage was bothering him.

Jason looked worse than anybody in the group. He looked tired, but also there was something in his eye that the group couldn't pin point. But Jason knew it was guilt that he felt. He should have been the one to protect Mac. He couldn't imagine being a worse boyfriend. First, he couldn't protect her from Zane and second, he couldn't protect her from herself. Less than 24 hours after their first kiss he couldn't even stop her from being kidnapped. Instead, Mac saved him and locked him in a freezer.

"Oh just wondering, I always forget humans can get sick," Gage said with a small chuckle. The rest of the group glaring at him, except Brad and Susie who was clueless on where Mac was. Jason took over her duties of training them and Chloe, as well as taking charge of the pack. He was not happy about that at all. Every time he walked into Mac's office he couldn't help but remind of his guilt and shame.

"Why do you care Gage?" John asked annoyed.

"I don't, just passing the time," Gage said. "You know before class."

"Sure," Collin said walking up. "Hey guys, sorry to hear Mac is sick, Chloe isn't feeling that well this morning either so I made her some chicken soup and had some extra for Mac."

"That is so nice of you," Susie said grabbing the container from him.

"No problem and come on Gage, you aren't supposed to be talking to them anyway," Collin said trying to pull Gage away.

"Um," Gage said, pausing before he went with Collin. "Hope she feels better."

"Thanks," Susie said flashing Gage a smile, the rest of the group just nodded their appreciation.

"Is she okay?" Ethan asked after Gage was out of ear shot. He knew that Mac being the Black Luna would cause a hassle in her life. But kidnapping, he couldn't even imagine, not even days after she told her story.

"We would know if she wasn't," Jason said, he stormed off leaving the school himself.  He couldn't handle being there today.

"Where do you think you are going?" A voice came from the hallway. Jason had his foot halfway out the door, but turned to see who he thinks was the principal of the school.

"I'm not feeling well," Jason said.

"Werewolves don't get sick, not really," The guy said coming closer. "But I did hear that Mackenzie was sick, so I'm guessing it is possible. Carry on." The principal said before walking away.

"That was weird," Jason said pushing the door open. Storming off to the car. He paused before putting his key in the door. "Damn Mac. Why did you have to go," He said while throwing his backpack to the ground? "Why didn't you just run."
