"Why do you look all dressed up?" Trent asked as Mac made her way down the stairs. She had eye shadow and mascara on, a black tank top, and black jeans that made her ass pop. Instead of her normal combat boots, she put on nice black heels.

"Nowhere," Mac said, but she couldn't stop smiling. Even with the brink of war at her doorstep she couldn't help but think only of Gage, and who knows maybe they can pair up and take over Alpha Brett pack together.

"Really nowhere?" Trent asked giving her a suspicious look.

"Can't I just look good?" Mac asked.

"You and Katie have been giggling and going on like school girls ever since you got home, so no I don't think you can just look good," Trent said. But he was happy to see Mac so happy, she is always positive, but something about the smile she had now made her glow.

"Well we are girls and we do like to have fun," Mac said in the most cheesy voice she could muster.

"How much fun?" Trent asked winking at her.

"Don't be gross," Mac said sticking her tongue out at him.

"Mac, don't forget this," Katie said she had a jacket and necklace which was being held with the jacket sleeve. "I thought it would be the perfect final touch."

"I can't wear this Brett gave it to me," Mac said taking the necklace from Katie because it was silver Mac was afraid of Katie burning herself.

"So what, it will look perfect and just don't tell anybody where it came from," Katie said.

"It is pretty," Mac said turning the necklace in her hand. Katie squealed pulling Mac into a hug.

"This is going to be great," Katie said.

"Neither of you are going to tell me are you?" Trent said and both girls laughed but shook their heads no.

"Okay, I'm going to go wait at the end of the driveway," Mac said heading towards the door. She wasn't really ready for the whole pack to know just yet, and she knew Trent couldn't keep something like that quiet.

"I'll come with." Trent said, but Katie glared at him and he stopped in his tracks. "Or I'll go make dinner for the pack.

"Good," Katie said. "Now, have a good time." She pulled her into another hug before pushing her towards the door.

Mac made it to the end of the driveway. She didn't tell Gage to meet her here, but she assumed he was picking her up so this was the only way to her house. She pulled out her phone to check to see it was 6:00 exactly she wasn't expecting him on time, he barely ever showed to class on time, but she hopes he doesn't take to long. She hated standing on the side of the road, especially in her heels, she kind of felt like a forest prostitute.

She zipped up her jacket, it was lightly snowing but she didn't feel the cold, she was just fidgety. All of her nerves felt excited and she wanted to jump around, but at the same time when he pulled up, she doesn't want to look crazy.

But maybe she was crazy, she couldn't imagine that her mate is the ex-boyfriend of one of her nemesis. Part of her, in the beginning, hated him for multiple reasons, the main was because he didn't save her. He saw her, and yes it was only once, but he then just left her, standing next to Derrick with his hand over her mouth.

But then again she does realize that something was happening that day that even she didn't understand, that stone Sandy had. She subconsciously went to grab her necklace, she looked down at the Blackstone, a small snowflake falling on top of it.

She felt the wind pick up and she twirled her hair into a loose bun, but a gust of wind blew her dark brown hair out within a second. She got tired of the red hair, she missed being herself, but at the same time, she didn't want Sandy to find her out just yet.

She wasn't sure what she was waiting for, part of her was worried that if she attacked Sandy Gage would declare war on her, but at this point that thought made her laugh. Maybe Gage will now declare war on Sandy and her messed up family.

Mac sighed pulling out her phone again, 6:15.

"Come on Gage, where are you?" She asked herself but right when she said that headlight lite up the road. She could feel her heart skip a beat and she couldn't help the giant smile that grew on her face.

It dropped though when she saw the car speed by, not even slowing down and then about ten minutes later another car drove past her, and then another and another.

It was completely dark out, the only light from her cell phone telling her it was eight o'clock. She didn't walk back down the driveway this time but instead teleported to her room. She kicked off her heels walking over the door to lock it. She couldn't help but turn her back to the door sliding down it, her butt hitting the carpet.

"Damn you, Gage," Mac said squeezing the necklace in her hand trying to suppress the anger and sadness within. She curled into herself as a small tear fell down her cheek.
