"NO! DON'T DO IT MABEL!" I screamed through the house.

She had marked my right ear with a purple tattoo marker (so that it would come off) and proceeded to chase me around the house, trying to pierce my ear.

"C'mon you big wuss! It doesn't hurt that much!" She yelled.

"No way, I don't want to have everyone think I'm...I'm a girl....again! I'll be less respected!"

"They have no respect for ya anyways, Bro! Just lemme pierce your ear!"

"NO!" I shouted.

I ran into the bathroom and locked the door.

She wouldn't catch me here!

Suddenly, the air vent popped open and I saw Mabel, a little dusty, with the piercer in her hand.

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

I ran out to my room. No vents here. I should be fine.

My window opened and she came into my room.

"How'd you even get there! We're on the second floor!"

"I'll tell you my secret if you let me pierce your ear!"

Man that was tempting...

"No!"

"Yesh!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yeshhh!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Fine."

"Yes--wait. Really?!" Mabel's eyes lit up.

"Now get on with it. I wanna know how you get around so quickly, and why you can climb ink second floor windows."

She grinned.

"YAY!"

She sat me down on my bed, handed me a random stuffed pig and told me not to move.

"Mabel, everything's always moving. From the atoms that make up you to the whole solar system."

"Ahhhh!" Mabel screeched, "Don't nerd out on me!"

"Fine. Just pierce it already. I wanna know your secret." I was getting a little impatient.

She lined it up with the dot and pulled the trigger on the piercer.

It hurt.

A tear might've fell if I hid the squeezed my eyes shut in pain.

"Hold on. I'm gonna put the earring I made in."

Mabel proceeded to pop an earring in the new piercing.

"Not so bad, right bro?" Mabel grinned.

I grimaced. "I guess. Just...physical....pain."

"Looks good."

"Secret."

"Oh yeah! I have these gloves that were made for me that allow me travel really quickly with them, as well as letting my stick to walls! They were a gift!" Mabel told me.

That explains it.

"...so Ford made them?" I asked her, morbidly.

"Ye---yeah...he did." Mabel said, a sadness in her voice.

"Hm."

"An-Anyways!!! Here's the necklace!" Mabel draped the new chain around my neck.

"Thank you so much, Mabel." I started tearing up.

"Awkward sibling hug?" I asked.

"Awkward sibling hug."

Well...it was more of a sincere sibling hug, honestly.
