BLACK PALADIN LANCE I SAY YEASE PLEASE! Okay but listen, when Keith comes out of the black lion after first getting picked there is a sceencap that is a close up of Lance looking down sadly and it is so. Heartbreaking! Because he's been in Keith's shadow all this time but not only that because, as we've seen, he accepts Keith-- Lance is in the middle of a self esteem crisis. He doesn't think he does anything for the team, he thinks he has no role and no talents and when he finally steps up to be something more, a leader, he gets shot down and Keith rises ahead of him again.
Re-watching the show after you know the plot is so good cuz you pick up on little details and appreciate the characters more.
