Jay's P.O.V.

When I woke up it was around 10am, a time which was actually unusual for me considering I was normally up before 7. t was odd, but I really didn't mind because it gave me a chance to rest, something I'd never had much.

I smiled as I remembered what I saw last night. Once I had gone up to bed I couldn't sleep, so I listened to everyone downstairs as they talked. I had heard Cat and Louise leaving and had crept downstairs only to see Dan curled in behind Phil, talking quietly.

That was the last thing I needed to see before it confirmed what I thought I knew. It confirmed their relationship and to be honest, it was pretty cute. I had done a little bit of research behind their backs, and I had found out that many of their fans thought their relationship was real, which it was.

I tip-toed downstairs, but when I heard the television on I stopped trying to be quiet. Dan and Phil were curled up on the couch with another anime playing on the screen. Dan's head was resting on Phil's shoulder and as I stood in the doorway Phil leaned down to kiss Dan's forehead.

I went back upstairs quietly and then walked downstairs loudly, so they knew I was coming down and had time to move if they wanted too. I was glad I did that, because when I re-entered the living room, Dan was leaning up against the opposite side of the couch, his laptop just starting up.

"Mornin' guys." Dan gave me a small hum in reply and raised his hand in a small wave.

"Hey Jay, how are you feeling?" Phil had turned his head to face me and with a small smile on his face, he beckoned me into the room.

"I'm good. Didn't get too much sleep though." Dan looked at me sympathetically, but motioned to the stack of toast sitting on the table and nodded for me to take one.

I did, and sat on the floor next to the couch, where I could see the T.V., but so I wasn't very close to Dan and Phil. I would have sat in the other chair, but a small clothes line was in front of it, covered with the clothes they had bought yesterday for me.

I had been very hesitant about them spending money on me, I had never had any money to spend in the first place so I was always very conscious about where it was going, and how rare it actually was. Our money had always gone on the essentials, food, rent, electricity. Not clothes. Not anything for fun. It was always on the essentials.

Some of the clothes I actually really liked, I had never had a chance to be interesting in fashion. Before, it was modest and plain clothing and on the streets it was whatever we picked up, or anything practical.

"You can take your clothes if you want, they're dry now." I nodded, it would probably be nice to have some new clothes because I was still using Dan's t-shirt as pyjamas and my only other clothes were the ones from the street.

I took everything upstairs, and now with light in the room, I could see everything. The bed covers were still a plain white, Dan said we'd go out again to pick everything else later in the week. The curtains were an lighter shade of black, so slightly grey and everywhere else was covered in small nick-nacks, posters, and picture frames.

Many of the pictures and posters were of Dan and Phil, drawings, photos, professional posters for several tours, and small statues, of lions, llamas and little versions of Dan and Phil. I picked one of them up and smiled as its head wobbled. Phil had called it a bobble-head, and I thought they were very cute.

I pulled on my most casual clothes, a pair of sweatpants and an oversized men's t-shirt that when I saw in the shop, I loved it. Over-sized t-shirts were great, they were comfortable and normally practical because I could grow into them.

Dan smiled at me when I came back down in my new clothes and I sat back in the same position, eating the toast that lay forgotten on the table.

"Phil and I have to record a new gaming video today, so we might be M.I.A for part of the day" I grinned.

"Gotcha."

"It might take a little while, but we've got something for you to have and it might give you something to do."

He handed me a small box, about the size of a brick but not as heavy. It was wrapped in wrapping paper, although the wrapping was done pretty terribly. I shook it lightly and frowned, hearing a solid object hitting cardboard.

Realization came over me and I looked up and them, wide eyed.

"You didn't!" Dan grinned.

"We did." I started muttering under my breath, still smiling.

"Little shits." Phil snorted with laughter and I sighed, starting to open the wrapping paper and then the box.

The box read Apple IPhone 7, rose gold and I looked at it curiously. I hadn't really seen anyone such a fancy phone, and I knew that it was probably hella expensive.

"You can open it you know."

I pulled a small container out of the box, and pulled that open to find a shiny phone, a charger and two things that looked like the end of earbuds. I looked at them curiously, having never seen earbuds that looked like that.

I held down what I knew to be the power button and jumped when the phone vibrated and a small, white apple showed on the screen.

-------------------------------------------

Phil spent the next hour showing me how to work the phone, downloading apps and just giving general advice. I thought the earbuds were the strangest thing, why the hell would you want little white buds you'd lose in five minutes?

Dan just laughed at my comments, saying it was what everyone was wondering.

"They're pretty useless, Apple I mean, in terms of being practical." I grinned, sounds like a lot of I knew in terms of uselessness.

It worked in a similar way to Officer Briny's phone, probably because it was also Apple but not the same model.

Dan recommended some apps, which is what he called them, including Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Facebook and YouTube, although I was already familiar with YouTube.

We started out with a gmail account, which they both spent a lot of time explaining how it all worked before setting up different accounts for me. It took a while and by the end I was exhausted, even though it was barely past two and my head started to nod.

Dan noticed my tiredness and pulled me onto the couch beside him, resting my head in his lap and stealing a blanket off Phil to lay it over me. Just before I drifted off I heard Dan whisper something to Phil, and then Phil leaned over me so Dan could whisper without me hearing, I assumed.

"She's trusting us!" I heard them go into a quick hug before Phil landed a quick kiss on Dan's cheek. I shifted a bit before Phil returned to his previous position although he was much closer to Dan than before.

"Sleep tight Jay."
