Chapter 98

Phil's P.O.V.

I kept my voice low, making sure that I didn't wake Jay who was fast asleep on the couch opposite, her head still resting on Louise's stomach and hand curled in front of her face. Louise was quite happy to just lean back and let Jay sleep, one of her hands running through her hair.

"Do you want to have dinner?" Louise nodded her head, careful not to move to much.

"Sure, are you ordering something?" I looked over at Dan and he nodded, still leaning against me and playing with my fingers.

"Pizza Dan?" He tipped his head back so I could see his eyes, which were happy and bright. He nodded.

"Okay, I'll be back."

I ordered our pizza and then sat back down on the couch, turning the television on with low volume so we wouldn't wake Jay and then sat back, just waiting for the pizza.

Louise was less chatty than normal, being more protective of Jay than usual and she didn't really want to move or even talk above a whisper, glaring at us every time we talked louder than she thought okay. We fell into silence once the television was turned on, waiting for the pizza.

We it came I got up to get it with Dan following to help me carry everything inside, which consisted of 3 pizzas, a loaf of garlic bread and two of those things of chips, and we managed to get it all in without dropping it all over the floor.

We set it on the coffee table, handing Louise her stuff so she didn't have to move and wake Jay, and we all tucked in, just happy to sit there in each others company.

"Phil? Lion, wake up." I stirred, feeling Dan's hand on my back, his fingers tickling me as he moved them up and down in an attempt to wake me. I mumbled something out to tell him that I was awake.

"I'm awake Dan... stop poking me." I heard him sigh and then he nuzzled his nose into my hair, lying on top of me and putting his full weight onto my chest.

"Come on, get up please?" I turned over and knocked him off me, looking him in the eyes tiredly.

"Why...? I'm tired." He gave me a quick kiss.

"Cause it's like 2 o'clock and we should probably do some filming.... Gamingmas starts soon." I sighed dramatically but nodded, knowing that PINOF went up in two days and then Gamingmas followed 3 days later.

"Fine... but only because I love you." Dan smiled, immediately going for my hand that had the beautiful diamond ring on it, which Louise helped pick out with me.

It took a couple of minutes to sort everything out and actually get dressed but once we were dressed everything went okay. Jay had been downstairs for hours and was sprawled out on the couch in a huge hoodie, one of mine I think, and sweatpants.

Both Dan and I went out to the kitchen and got bowls of cereal before settling down in the living room, trying to wake up a little bit before we decided to record or edit anything. Dan had brought his laptop down with him and was already browsing Tumblr, just like he did every morning.

I was watching him, pointing out things on occasion and just being generally annoying but Dan just smiled at me, ignoring all my attempts to get his attention. He was used to me continually annoying him so he knew exactly what to do when I started poking him or repeating his name.

"Come on Dan, might as well start recording." He sighed, leaning into my chest.

"Fine."

"You ready to upload Dan?" He nodded, squeezing my hand and steeling himself to upload PINOF.

We knew it would kill the Phandom once it was uploaded and both Dan and I were extremely nervous, not knowing what the reaction would be. We hadn't hinted to the ending in any way at all, nothing in the thumbnail or the description, we hadn't hinted at it on Twitter or Tumblr either.

It would come as a complete surprise to everyone, even some of our closest friends, as we hadn't told anyone other than Louise and my parents about what had happened. I was pretty sure the Martyn knew because mum had yelled at him in excitement the day before.

Dan's parents and younger brother didn't have any clue about what was happening and we had discussed it, choosing to call them after the video was uploaded and tell them then.

"Okay, let's go." The video had already been rendered and we just had to press upload.

I took in a deep breath, squeezing Dan's hand before pressing the upload button and then turning to hug Dan, who I could feel shaking. As we were already out it wasn't as bad as it could be but we were still scared and just waiting for the overload of questions and exploding fangirls.

"Do you wanna call your parents now?" Dan nodded, resting his head on my shoulder and waiting for an onslaught. He pulled out his phone and hit call on his mums contact, turning it onto speaker so I could hear as well.

"Dan? Why're you calling?" He shifted right up against me, looking over at me.

"Hi Mrs Howell, it's Phil."

"Oh hi Phil! Good to hear from you, but what's going on?" Dan suddenly leaned down, putting his head right next to the mic.

"Hi mum."

"Dan! Don't do that!" He grinned, laughing to himself.

"Okay, okay but hi, sorry for the sudden call." I heard a laugh on the other end of the phone.

"Alright you two, but why the sudden call? Also I see you just uploaded yes?"

"Yeah but there's a bit of a surprise at the end of the video and that's what we wanted to talk about, after all Phil's parents already know." Jay was following along with the phone conversation on the other side of the room, her prosthetic strewn on the floor because she didn't want it on.

"And the surprise is?...."

"Phil proposed." I heard a squeal of excitement and then the sound of running footsteps.

"No! You're kidding!" I smiled, bringing Dan closer to me.

"As much as I wish I was, I'm not." Dan elbowed me violently and I yelped as he'd hit me in the ribs, and rather painfully too.

"Oi!"

"Can I have a picture? I want to see this ring." We had already taken a picture of the two rings together a couple of days earlier so we could upload it to Instagram about half an hour after PINOF first went up. He sent it through to his mum. "Oh! It's so cute! I'll have to come down and visit and some point!"

"If you want, there's nothing we've really got planned over the next couple of months." I knew we didn't considering Jay was just gone 5 and half months pregnant and she wouldn't be going back to school for a while.

"How's Jay by the way? I still actually haven't met her." Both of our parents knew everything that had happened as we had filled them in when we could but because of everything that had happened there was no time for them to actually meet her.

"She's okay, just come off school for a few months." She knew what I was referring too.

"That's good, could I come down around new years? I know you're busy with the month of videos and stuff so that probably won't be the best but is then okay?" I looked over at Dan for conformation and he nodded.

"Yeah that'll be good."
