Dan's P.O.V.

When I awoke the sun was streaming through the window, blinding me. I groaned, moving my face into Phil's chest, where he was beginning to stir with the movement I was making.

His eyes opened and he groaned too, the sun way to strong for whatever time it was in the morning. I assumed it was earlier than nine o'clock, which was when we had to get up for the second day of Vidcon, but as I listened to the noises outside on the street, voices, footsteps, and realised it was long past nine, everyone was already gone.

"Phil, I think Vidcon's already open." He looked around at the window, trying to adjust to the bright light and sighed.

"Louise probably let us sleep, I don't know whether she went or not." My eyes trailed over to Jay, who was still fast asleep, eyes closed and breathing slow.

"Should we leave Jay? She's still asleep." It was only then that Phil looked over at her too, and smiled when he saw her.

"Yeah. Do you want to go and see if Louise is still here?" I nodded and then jumped violently as Phil pushed me off the bed and onto the floor. I glared at him, I was trying to keep quiet as to not wake up Jay, but Phil seemed intent on doing the opposite.

Still in the clothes from the night before, we crept into Louise's room as silently as possible. She was there, her phone clutched in her hands and her eyes closed, focusing on nothing.

"Dan! Phil! Is everything okay!" I rubbed my head, it was aching with a headache and sighed, leaning up against Phil. He answered for me.

"It's okay, Jay's still sleeping. I think it- it was just a bit of shock to the system." Louise nodded, before freezing and then running forwards, wrapping us both in a huge bear hug.

I hugged back, desperate for some comfort. Phil wrapped his arms around me too and we just stood there, at least until Louise pulled away. Phil didn't, he just held his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder, his lips grazing against my neck as we stood there.

I sighed and grabbed his hands with my own, my head bowed and eyes closed. Phil was mumbling something underneath his breath but I couldn't understand it, he was talking too fast and too low for me to hear him properly.

"Guys, I think Jay's awake?" I whirled around, startling Phil so much that he stumbled backwards and looked towards the door, where Jay was indeed standing.

She had her crutches clutched in her hands and was rubbing her eyes tiredly with one of them, her hair looked like a bird nest. She was leaning forwards heavily and as she stood still she started wobbling, unsteady on her feet.

"Mornin'." She mumbled, yawning right after she spoke.

"You okay? You look tired." She nodded.

"I am tir-tired." The yawn that came in the middle of her sentence, interrupting her yet again, causing her to lean forwards to far and almost slipped. Phil stepped forwards to balance her and let her lean against him as her eyes slipped closed again, yawning.

"Come on you, you aren't in any position to be going anywhere." Phil scooped her up into his arms as gently as possible, making sure her cast wasn't underneath her and then lay her down on the couch, chucking a blanket for her.

"Thanks."

"When should we go down to Vidcon?" Louise looked up.

"You've already missed the first panel, Tyler did the whole thing instead. He's counting on you to get down there for the second one." I nodded, reminding myself to thank Tyler later.

"What's the time?"

"12. Your next panel is at 2:30, so you've got a while." I looked up at Phil and he nodded, coming back to stand beside me and just hugged me again.

We were both still immensely worried about Jay, who seemed a little bit detached from us and I just sighed, knowing we'd have to leave her for a bit.

A knock on the door got my attention and Louise went to open it, and a green head was stuck around the door. Jack's eyes met mine and he grinned, then they trailed to Phil, then to Jay, who was still on the couch.

"Hey guys, are you coming down now? Mat and Steph are going soon if you want to join them." I nodded after a quick glance at Phil, but Jack motioned for me to come outside and I did.

"Hey Dan, I know that you're going to have to leave Jay for a while today, but me and Mark are staying in the hotel for the day, so we can look after her if you want."

"Really?" He nodded.

"Me and Mark feel really bad about what happened last night and we want to help, and figured you might need it too." I let out a sigh of relief, knowing that Louise had to go into Vidcon that day too, and we didn't want to leave Jay on her own but if she wasn't up to the crowds then it would leave us in a bit of a mess.

"Thanks, it would be amazing. We don't want to leave her on her own again, and the only other option would be to take her with us." Phil's hand scrabbled into mine and he closed the door behind him, nodding at my statement.

"Yeah, I don't think she's up to crowds at the moment. It might take a while for her to get used to you though."

"That's okay, we're gonna go down to the like social area in the basement, we're gonna have some friends and just hang out for the day, we haven't seen half of them in over a year." I nodded, Jay might feel more comfortable in a social-ish setting, with some people she kind of knew and some others too.

"I think that'll be okay, but we gotta get moving, we gotta go get changed." I nodded, smiling a small thanks to Jack and then moved to head back into the room, to get dressed.

"We'll meet downstairs yeah, give us like five minutes." I pulled Phil's hand and tugged him back into the room, smiling at Louise.

"Mark and Jack have offered to take care of her for the day, they aren't going to Vidcon today and are just going to spend the day downstairs." Louise sighed in relief and Jay looked up, her head poking up over the blanket.

"Is that the one with green hair?" I glanced at her.

"Jack is, yeah."

"Oh, he's funny. I liked him." Phil grinned at me, his eyes lighting up.

Looked like it was going to be okay.
