Dan's P.O.V.

"Dan?" I felt a hand trailing down my back and I groaned, trying to push it away. I buried my head further underneath my pillow and sighed as the hand continued to move around my back, feather light over my skin.

"Mm? What?" My voice almost broke half way through the sentence and I groaned again, my brain still sluggish from sleep.

I looked up and saw Phil leaning over me in bed, his hair falling into my face.

"Come on, it's already 10 o'clock and I want to spend some time with the others." I sighed, reaching my hand out for Phil to take. He did, pulling me out of the bed and as my feet landed on the floor, I heard a groan and then the shifting of sheets.

Both Phil and I turned our heads and I saw a lump under the covers of the other bed, shifting occasionally. Jay had slept in the same room as us for the second night in a row and as I looked over at her, her head appeared out from underneath the blankets.

As her eyes opened she groaned, closing them because of the light streaming into the room.

"Mornin' Jay." She turned her head towards me and waved, her head falling back onto the pillow.

"Hi."

"Are you okay? You look exhausted." She scowled at me.

"Is it that obvious? Yes I'm tired." Sarcasm laced her voice and she kicked the blankets off her with her non-broken leg, rolling over onto her stomach. She was wearing a pair of winter pyjamas, which we had bought for her just after we met her and she pulled a blanket over her head.

I pulled a new t-shirt on, almost falling forwards as Phil pushed me from behind. He chuckled, laughing harder as a gave him a friendly shove backwards.

"I hate you." Phil let out another giggle, giving me a quick peck on my cheek before turning and opening the door behind us.

"Hey Louise, we're awake now." There was a reply which I couldn't make out and then she poked her head around the door, giving me a nod.

"Morning Dan, morning Jay." Jay let out a grunt in reply, pulling the blanket further over her head in retaliation.

"Come on, we've got to have breakfast and then you can sleep again."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"Dan! Phil! Over here!" I turned my head towards the far corner of the room, where a very excited Tyler was standing on his chair and waving his arms franticly.

He had managed to work through the panel the day before by himself and we had thanked him at the second one, which went well. Jack and Mark had also joined us for that one, which basically turned into a huge banter session.

"Hey Tyler, what's up." He shrugged.

"Not much, my social media is filled with you guys kissing though." Phil let out a tiny giggle.

"We haven't been on Tumblr much since we put the videos out, but to be honest I'm not surprised."

"Go get some food and then come back, I'm not leaving till like this afternoon. My flight's at 1 I think." I nodded, dragging Phil over to the table with food.

Taking my tray back I passed Jay, who was standing awkwardly to the side looking a little confused. She was leaning forwards on her crutches and tilting her head to the side, watching everyone else.

"You okay?" She shrugged but she was biting her lip, looking around at everyone else. I could tell she was nervous.

"Do you want me to get some stuff for you?" She nodded, shifting one of her hands so she was biting her knuckles and stood stock still, her eyes still moving around nervously.

I knew the feeling, hating crowds, feeling nervous whenever there were loud noises or not wanting people to touch me, trying to stay well away from people. I pulled her into a hug, I could actually feel her shaking and as she leaned into my chest, she nuzzled her head into my sweatshirt.

"Do you want to go back upstairs?" She didn't move for a few seconds before shaking her head.

"Want food more." I handed her my tray and motioned for her to go back to the table, where Phil and Tyler were already sat. She gave me a quick smile before heading back to the table and I took another tray.

I had a general idea of what she liked, but for the time being I just took two pieces of toast, an egg and a sausage. She still didn't eat a lot and I knew she was underweight for both her height and age, but we were still trying to encourage her to eat a little bit more than she previously had been.

I took the tray back to the table, my tray was sitting in front of the empty seat. I gave the new tray to her and she smiled, nodding a thanks and picked up her knife and fork. Tyler was almost already done, Louise and Phil was just picking at his tray.

"Do you know what Jack and Mark are up to today?" Both Phil and Tyler shrugged.

"Dunno, we'll ask them later."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I yawned, looking down at the screen of my phone. It was well past ten o'clock and all of were exhausted, Phil almost asleep on my shoulder. Jay actually was asleep, curled up on one of the benches surrounding the tables and her crutches discarded on the floor.

The room was almost empty, just Mark, Jack, Bob, Wade, Tyler number 2 and Ethan. Most of us were chatting in quiet voices, empty plates scattered in front of us from dinner less than half an hour ago. We had spent most of the day in the hotel, going from room to room and catching up with everyone, who we hadn't seen in probably over a year.

Tyler, as in Tyler Oakley had caught his flight earlier in the day and Mark and Jack had told us that their flight was actually the next morning after it was cancelled.

Jay seemed to take to most people we introduced her, smiling but mostly silent and watching their every action. She also saw the group of boys we had seen twice over the past few days and they waved at each other, Jay actually calling out to say hi.

It was nice that she knew someone that wasn't someone we knew, she was talking to other people without our initiative and seemed to be perking up. Both Phil and I knew we would have to talk to her about what happened, not while we were in America but once we got home.

"I think we should head to bed now guys, it's getting late." I looked around at Phil, who had spoken and nodded. It was getting late and everyone was exhausted.

I stood up and gave both Mark and Jack huge hugs, thanking them for looking after Jay again. Jack just smiled, squeezing me back and Mark attempted to pick me up, dropping me after I flailed my arms and almost kicked him.

Phil and I waved to everyone else and I leaned down to take Jay's crutches while Phil picked Jay up. She didn't move, her legs dangling in the air and her head resting in Phil's shoulder. Mark smiled, reaching out to squeeze her hand.

"Tell her goodbye from the both of us will you?" I nodded, giving them both one last hug.

"Thanks guys. See you some time soon."
