Joan tends to the back of the Doctor's head, while {Y/N} sits next to him writing in a journal.

"Stop it. I get boys causing less fuss than this" Joan says.

"Because it hurts" the Doctor mutters just as Martha bursts in.

"Is he all right, {Y-Mary?" Martha asks, {Y/N} and Joan look towards her.

"Excuse me, Martha. It's hardly good form to enter a master's study without knocking" Joan says.

"Sorry. Right. Yeah" she goes back to the door and knocks on it.

"But is he, all right? They said you fell down the stairs, Sir" {Y/N} laughs softly.

"No, it was just a tumble, that's all" {Y/N} says looking down at her husband with a soft smile.

"Have you checked for a concussion?" Martha asks.

"I have. And I daresay I know a lot more about it than you" Joan replies.

"Sorry. I'll just tidy your things" Martha says.

"I was just telling Nurse Redfern, Matron, about my dreams. They are quite remarkable tales. I keep imagining that I'm someone else, and that I'm hiding. And Mary has them as well."

"Hiding? In what way?" Joan asks.

"They're almost every night. This is going to sound silly" {Y/N} says thinking about her own dreams.

"Tell me."

"I- I dream, quite often, that I have two hearts" {Y/N} whispers, the Doctor nods.

"I do as well."

"Well, then. I can be the judge of that. Let's find out" Joan uses her stethoscope to listen to the Doctor's chest.

"I can confirm the diagnosis. Just one heart, singular. How about you Mary?"

"Hm, oh, sure" Joan moves over and uses her stethoscope to listen to {Y/N}'s chest.

"Just one heart" Joan smiles.

"I have er, I have written down some of these dreams in the form of fiction. Not that it would be of any interest" {Y/N} says quietly, the Doctor looks up at her surprised.

"I'd be very interested" Joan says.

"Well, I've never actually shown it to anyone before. Not even John" {Y/N} gives Joan the handwritten book she was currently writing in.

"A Journal of Impossible Things" Joan looks through it to see lots of inky scrawl and pictures "just look at these creatures" she points to a 'Dalek' "such imagination."

"It's become quite a hobby" {Y/N} giggles. 'The Moxx of Balhoon', 'Auton's' labelled as plastic men, one of the 'Pompadour clockwork robots' are some other drawings within the journal.

"t's wonderful. And quite an eye for the pretty girls" Joan shows the Doctor the book on the page was a drawing of 'Rose Tyler'.

"Oh no, no, she's just an invention. This character, Rose. I call her, Rose. Seems to disappear later on" {Y/N} says twiddling with her thumbs more drawing's include 'Cybermen' and the 'TARDIS', which is labelled 'magic box'.

"Ah, that's the box. The blue box. It's always there. Like a like a magic carpet. This funny little box that transports us to faraway places" the Doctor says, {Y/N} nodding in agreement.

"Like a doorway?" Joan asks

"Mmm" she continues to flip through the book coming across sketches of earlier Doctors, and {Y/N}'s earlier regenerations.
