03.16 - Orr Roman

       

                The story continued to progress quickly. Mina found how just how persistent and clingy Roman Orr was as he constantly remain at her side. Then once summer break came, he shamelessly used his parents black card to buy their flight ticket to New York where his family lived. The entire two months, Mina stayed with Roman Orr and his family - who strangely accepted her like a daughter-in-law. Very much like Roman Orr, his parents and older brothers were all extremely friendly and outgoing people. Wryly, Mina found herself treated very much like a princess while she was with Roman Orr and family. But since the soul inside Mina was the type who likes to be pampered, she adjusted quickly - letting the young man and his family spoil her to their heart content.

                Then by the time summer was over and the couple head back to campus, everyone at the school knew that the notorious bad boy took his girlfriend home to meet his family. His friend all teased him about it which lead to the entire school learning of the incident. For the bad boy to be in a serious relationship with a girl was already big news, but to hear him take his girlfriend home to meet the family was earth shattering. Many of the girls were heartbroken and cried to the news. Most of them had wanted to lash their anger and sadness at Mina  but couldn't do so without fear that Roman Orr would be angry with them. The last time a girl lashed out at Mina, Roman Orr and his entire clique of friends made the girls life a living hell. Every time they saw her, they would purposely taunt and ridicule her. Because of Roman Orr's social standing in school, the students wanted to be liked by Roman Orr so, in turn, all begin to ridicule the girl. It didn't take long before the girl had withdrawn from the school and left without a word to anyone. The cruel method that frightened all the girls from acting out against Mina Rain. Mina, of course, took all events around her in steady stride. She had already lived through the cruelty of high school once so was not bothered by the situation around her.

"Yo Mina!"

                As usual, Mina was studying in the library when Roman Orr's group of guy friends came. Roman Orr was typically found beside Mina Rain, so his friends first thought was to find the girl in her typical spot in the library. When Roman Orr was nowhere in sight, the group of guys were surprised and asked where he was.

"Still in his dorm room" Mina's smile held a hidden awareness. "I think it'll be a while before he gets here"

"Oh really? Then when you see him, could you tell him to meet us at the soccer field?"

"Sure"

"Come too okay? That idiot won't go unless you're there"

"Okay"

                With that, the group of guys left Mina alone to her textbook. Once alone, Mina closed the book and prompt her elbow on it. Placing her cheek on her palm, Mina looked out the large window beside her. With a knowing smile, Mina's dark eyes sparkled as they look at the passing fluffy white clouds against the beautiful blue sky.

                Meanwhile, Roman Orr was indeed still in his dormitory room. Wearing soccer shorts, he was about to put on a gray t-shirt when the door was opened. He didn't need to look to know the sharp gasp belonged to his roommate. Ignoring the "boy", Roman Orr proceed to put on his shoes. In silence Ashley Giles closed the door and watched as Roman Orr finished tying his shoes before he stood. The entire time, the guy did not look at her - like she was invisible.

"Roman..."

                Ashley Giles could not handle Roman Orr's obvious dislike toward her. Continuing to ignore her, Roman Orr went to the door but was blocked by her standing in front of it. Staring down at the much shorter "boy", Roman Orr's cold eyes pretty much told her to move out the way. But the colder he was toward her, the more wronged she felt. Unable to stop her emotions, Ashley Giles suddenly reached out and hugged Roman Orr. Startled, Roman Orr pulled on her back collar and yanked the "boy" off of him.

"Roman, I_"

                Roman Orr didn't care to listen to the strange "boy" and shoved Ashley Giles aside. But when he tried to reached for the door handle, Ashley Giles forcefully held him back by wrapping her arms around him from behind.

"What are you doing?" Roman Orr was thoroughly disgusted and turned to pushed the "boy" away.

                But Ashley Giles grabbed hold of his hand and held it to her chest. Confused at the "boy" pressing his hand against his chest, Roman Orr grabbed it hard wanting to shove Ashley away. As soon as his hand grabbed her, he froze.

"You" Roman Orr looked at Ashley Giles with shock. "You're a girl?"

                Ashley Giles looked up at Roman Orr with watery eyes. With her beautiful face filled with un-fallen tears, any normal teenage boy would fall. Ashley Giles didn't know what caused her to expose herself in front of Roman Orr, but she could no longer bare being treated like a boy by him. She had wanted Roman Orr to treat her like Mina.

"Roman... please_"

                Before she could finish pleading, Roman Orr shoved her off him. The same cold and disgusted look was on his face as he regarded Ashley Giles.

"Who are you? Why is a girl pretending to be a boy?"

                Because Roman Orr's did not have a good impression of Ashley Giles from the beginning, he did not care whether or not she was a guy or a girl. Instead, he was irritated and annoyed that he was tricked and fooled all this time. Seeing his anger, Ashley Giles confessed with the same story she told Ethan King several weeks ago. She had thought that Roman Orr would also take pity on her and would not exposed her secret to the school.

"You want me to keep your identity a secret?" Roman Orr sneered with folded arms. "Why should I do that? What benefits would I get?"

                Ashley Giles remained silent until she suddenly removed her blazer. Roman Orr smirked as he watched the girl undo the buttons of the white uniform shirt.

"And here I thought you're a pure girl" Roman Orr laugh was cruel and indifferent. " Put back on your blazer, I wouldn't touch you with a stick."

                Shame filled Ashley Giles as Roman Orr looked at her with amusement and repulsion.

"As for your secret, I don't give a damn" Roman Orr chuckled coldly. "If you know what's good for you, you should not have come back after summer break."

"Why...?" Ashley Giles was hurt and confused. "Why are you so cruel to me?"

"What?" Roman Orr smirked. "You think if I find out you're a girl, I'll be nice to you? Or did you think I'll be tempted to sleep with you?"

                Seeing Ashley Giles' beautiful face flushed red, Roman Orr only felt sickened. For a guy like Roman Orr who had been with plenty of women, he knew when one liked or was attracted to him. Recalling all the strange moments his roommates had behaved whenever he was with Mina, Roman Orr understood where Ashley Giles' feelings lies.

"Sorry" Roman Orr mocked her. "I'm not interested in pure girls like yourself"

"I_" Ashley Giles face grew a shade redder. "I'm not_"

"Oh, right" Roman Orr laughed. "Your good friend, the student body president probably done the deed with you. I have to hand it to that guy, to be able to break the purest girl in the world"

                Tears fall down her face as Ashley Giles trembled in embarrassment.

"Is that how you keep him from tell your secret? Giving him you're pure body?"

"P_ Please stop" Ashley Giles covered her face and cried. "I_ I don't want you to hate_"

"I don't care to hate you" Roman Orr continued without mercy.

                Roman Orr turned to leave, but once again, Ashley Giles held him back by tight hold on his arms.

"Roman, I really like you. I'm in love with you"

                In tears, the young girl frantically tried to hold back the one person she wanted to treat her kindly. She didn't know when her feelings for Roman Orr warped into such desperate state. But to have a person he did not like clung onto him, Roman Orr felt repulse. No longer wanting to deal with the girl, Roman Orr gave her a final warning to leave the school by the end of the week before he tells everyone her secret. Afterward, he left the room not caring to hear Ashley Giles' sorrowful cries.
