Chapter 9; Book of Conquest

You rushed to the school and you turned on your flashlight and met up with the other girls.
"The coaches song being the ring leader." Veronica said.
"Call me impressed." A voice said and everyone turned back.
"What would your mother say about this Betty?" Cheryl asked.
"What are you even doing here Cheryl?" You asked.
"I thought I would help." She said.
"Help?" Betty asked.
"Or derail our investigation." Betty added.
"Get over yourself Betty." Cheryl said.

You walked more and started to open places up.
"Where would I be?" You asked yourself.
You found something and started to flip through the pages.
"Guys I think I found it." You said.
"They didn't even bother to hide it." Ethel said.
"New girl is that what I'm reduced to?" Veronica asked.
"Polly is in the book." Betty said.
"Next to Jason's name." Cheryl said sadly.
"I'm so sorry Betty." You and Veronica said.
"This isn't- Jason wouldn't." Cheryl said in disbelief.
"It's right there Cheryl." Betty said mad.
"Your brother hurt my sister. This is what guys like Jason and Chuck think about women. We're all objects." Betty said.
"Then they shame us. They have no remorse." You said.
"Maybe I don't know Jason." Cheryl said.
"We will take a picture show it to Weatherbee. Be a great cover Betty." Veronica said.
"These girls deserve justice." Betty said.
"Do you want to go full dark no stars Veronica I'm with you." Betty said.
You looked at them.
"This is all I signed up for." You said.
"You're a Lodge aren't you suppose to go full dark?" Betty asked.
"My last name doesn't define me Betty." You said.
You handed Veronica the book.
"Don't do anything stupid. Although you probably will." You said and walked out.
You went home and your mind was racing on what they were doing. So you texted Jug.
You:"Jug distract me"
JH:"Whats wrong?"
You:"Veronica may be doing something dumb"
JH:"Oh no"
JH:"No offense but when isn't she getting in trouble btw I have to find an evil adventure guy so want to come?"
You:"Yeah let me get dressed."
JH:"K I'll meet you at the party going on."

You grabbed a light green dress and matching flats and left your hair down and you made it to the party.
"F/N come on." He said and you ran to catch up.
"I know you fired the gun." Jughead said to Dilton.
"Which makes you both a liar and a possible public menace." Jughead added.
Dilton looked at us. "So what if I did?"
"I was doing the adventure scouts a favor. Someone has to teach them to stay their ground the way this town is going." He said.
"Zip it." You said.
"Save it for your statement for Sheriff Keller or me. I suggest me Blue and Gold office tomorrow." Jughead said and grabbed your hand and lead you away.
"Jughead." You said.
"What?" He asked.
