You were practicing singing and you kept practicing.
"I think you got a chance at winning Lodge Twin number two." Cheryl smirked.
"What do you want Cheryl?" You asked annoyed.
She looked offended and put a hand on her chest. "Pardon moi. I just wanted to congratulate you on your singing expertise."
"Thanks." You said taking a sip of water.
"How is this going to affect your relationship with Archie and Veronica?" Cheryl asked.
"If Veronica is performing with Archie it's defiantly not going to affect anything. It's just a school variety show." You said with an eye roll.
"Okay." Cheryl said and sashayed away.
"Hey F/N want to go with me to Andrew's construction to give them something?" Veronica asked.
"Sure." You said and walked with her.
"Flowers are always a way to liven up a work place." You said.
"True that sister." Veronica said with a laugh.
"I'm so glad we can be close again like we were back in elementary and middle school." Veronica said.
"Me too because in high school in New York we had nothing to do with each other." You said.
"For certain reasons. I don't blame you." Veronica said.
You smiled and you two continued walking.
"Oh my God." Veronica said eyes wide.
"What?" You asked.
"Look." She said and pointed.
You gasped. You saw your mom kissing Fred Andrews.
"What in the world." You said completely shocked.
You and Veronica walked home and looked at the fire.
"Is she going to leave Dad?" Veronica asked scared.
"No she isn't. She won't she loves Dad." You said trying to be reassuring.
Mom walked in and Veronica jumped.
"Are you going to leave Dad when he gets out of jail?" Veronica asked worried and sad.
"Honey why would you ask such a thing?" Mom asked.
Veronica grabbed your arm and you stood next to her and you both linked arms.
"We saw you... Mom with Fred Andrews in the trailer." Veronica said.
Mom walked over. "Oh mijas."
"I'm so sorry you did. But I want you to know we never even kissed before. Until today." Mom said.
"What about Dad?" You asked.
"What happens when he comes home?" Veronica added.
Mom sat you both down.
"I'm not sure. I'm so sorry baby. It just happened." Mom said.
"And I know this must be confusing. " Mom added.
"Confusing isn't even the word Mom." You said sadly.
"What can I do to help?" Mom asked.
"You know what Mom there's actually nothing." Veronica said sadly.
You nodded in agreement.
Mom looked at us with sad eyes.
"Come on F/N." Veronica said softly. You both walked to your room sad.
As much as you didn't like the business you didn't want your family to be separated.
