Chapter 39: Keeps Getting Worse

You were stunned. FP is being framed.
"Maybe you didn't see it." Betty said.
"We are not talking about the vogue closet here B." Veronica insisted.
"Maybe you looked in the wrong one." Betty said.
"But it is a trailer how many closets can it have and it's probably not even a big closet. It would be more accurate to not see something in Veronica's closet but a trailer closet no." You said.
"We need to tell Jughead his dad is innocent." Archie said.
"But where is he?" You asked.
"I tried calling him, left him messages but no response." You added.
"Should we talk to Sheriff Keller?" Betty asked.
"No not until we tell our parents." Archie said.
You gave Archie a puzzled look.
"That we broke into FP's trailer?" Veronica asked confused.
"My Dad will know what to do." Archie said.
"I really hope so because it seems that we are just getting deeper and deeper into a hole." You said.

You, Betty, Veronica, and Archie went and talked to the parents.
"You did what?" Fred asked mad.
"We has to make sure FP wasn't involved kn Jason Blossom's murder." Archie said.
"And now we know the truth he was." Mrs Cooper said.
"What? He was framed we literally just said it." You said slightly agitated.
"The gun was planted." Archie said.
"By whoever killed Jason." Veronica said.
"Couldn't you have just missed it?" Mom asked.
"Yeah excuse me if I trust the detection skills of an officer of the law over four amateur sleuths." Mrs Cooper said.
"Listen it's a trailer! The closet isn't that big you can't just miss something in a trailer!" You snapped.
"F/N!" Mom hissed.
"Mom you're the one who asked Veronica to break in." Betty said.
"Excuse me!?" Mom yelled.
"What!?" Archie's Mom yelled.
"Alice!" Fred yelled.
"Actually I approached Mrs Cooper I had to know it FP is involved and if he was connected to my dad." Veronica admitted.
"A gun was found. FP is the killer case closed we are leaving." Mom said and grabbed your arm along with Veronica's.
"There was no gun." Archie said.
"Son this isn't petty theft or a bar fight we are talking about Archie this is murder." Fred said.
"Okay fine then we will go to the sheriff without you." Archie said.
"Archie you entered FP residence illegally so whatever you did or did not find would be inadmissible in the court of law." Archie's mom said.
"I don't care what happens to me." Archie said.
"I do care FP might of ruined Jughead's life I'm not going to let him ruin yours." Fred said.
"No this is wrong all wrong. FP is innocent. Why is it so hard for you to believe?" You questioned.
"Mija you have feelings involved your mind is clouded." Mom said.
"We are leaving now." Mom hissed and dragged you and Veronica away.

You were at home and it was dark out and you saw your phone and decided to text Archie.
F/N: "I'm worried about Jug."
A:"Me too let's go find him."
You hopped out of bed and put on a long sleeve gray shirt with jeans and matching sneakers with a brown p coat over top.

You met up with Archie and you decided to check the bus stop but it was closed.
"Let me try calling him." You said.
It went straight to voicemail.
"Anything?" Archie asked.
"Voicemail." You sighed.
"Maybe his phone died." Archie said.
"Or maybe the only friends he has just completely betrayed him." You said sadly.
Archie looked disappointed and scared.
You then heard Archie's phone ring.
"Is it him?" You asked hopeful.
"No it's Veronica." Archie said.
"Veronica is going to come with us probably along with Betty. She gave a good idea to check Pops." Archie said.
You started to run all the way to Pops leaving Archie in the dust.
"Jughead please be there." You thought.
You ran through the door and saw Jughead and you sat next to him.
"We are so sorry about everything." Betty said.
"We messed up we all did." Archie said.
"Breaking into your Dad's trailer is wrong but at least some good came out of it." Archie said.
"Pretty sure my dad was just arrested for murder." Jughead said in monotone.
"That gun wasn't there when we searched his trailer." Veronica said.
"He's being framed Jug." You said.
"What are you talking about?" Jughead asked.
"There was no lockbox no gun no nothing. Someone put it there after Veronica and Archie left." You explained.

You all ran to the Sheriff department.
"Excuse me sir we need to see Sheriff Keller." Archie said.
"There's been a huge mistake." Betty said.
"Sheriff we need to talk to you about FP Jones." Veronica said.
"What about him?" Sheriff Keller asked.
"He's innocent." Archie said.
"He's being framed." You spoke up.
"Why did he just confess?" Sheriff Keller asked.
You looked and saw FP in handcuffs and you were shocked.
You walked over to Jug and hugged him.

You were at school with the gang looking at the newspaper.
"No mention of your Dad that's good news right Roni and F/N?" Archie asked.
"I can't stop thinking that maybe my Dad hired another serpent to plant that gun." Veronica whispered.
"You are really looking for something." You said. "Don't get me wrong I know our Dad isn't innocent in many things. But murdering a high school student? Come on V."
"It's surreal isn't it? How's Jughead doing?" Kevin asked.
"Not good at all." You sighed.
"He's not coming in today he's at the station." Archie said.
"Being grilled by your dad." Veronica said.
"He's just doing his job I mean of course he's going to ask Jughead questions." Kevin said.
"Well he's wasting his time. FP didn't kill Jason. He's being framed." You said.
"F/N he confessed." Kevin said.
"Don't you think someone could be blackmailing FP to lie." You said.
"My mom saw him and Joaquin together." Betty said.
"Don't do not drag my boyfriend into this." Kevin said.
"Hurts doesn't it now Keller." You glared.
"Oh no." Archie said.
You looked back and saw Jughead walking to Cheryl.
"I'm sorry Cheryl." Jughead said and she stood up.
You stood up started to make your way to him.
Cheryl slapped him and started to hit him.
You ran over and was about ready to slap her until Jughead grabbed you and Archie grabbed Cheryl.
"That's enough." Principal Weatherbee said.
"Mr Jones you need to come with me right now." He said.
"He was apologizing. Cheryl was the one that attacked him." You said.
You watched the two walk out. You started to cry and Archie hugged you.
"Go wait for him." Archie said and that's what you did.
You saw Jughead walked out.
"What happened?" You asked.
"My second interrogation of the day. Don't know who's worse Keller or Weatherbee." Jughead said.
"This will all be over." You said.
"Your Dad is innocent we just have to prove it." You said.
"Who killed him then?" Jughead asked.
"Come on F/N tell me. If it wasn't my Dad who killed Jason Blossom. He said he did it and you know what I've been waiting my whole life for that man to do the right thing. I'm done you should be to." Jughead said.
You watched him walk away.
"Jug." You whispered.
