An hour later Charlie started to wake up.
"Daddy?"
"Hey baby, I'm here, daddy's here."
"Daddy everything hurts."
"I know it does baby, I'll have Doctor Rhodes give you something okay?"
"Where's mommy?"
"She's right outside with everyone else."
Erin walked in. "Charlie, baby you're up how do you feel?"
"Daddy I want to go home."
"You can't baby, not until the doctor's clear you."
Charlie rolled over, turning her back to Jay and Erin.
"Do you want us to stay?"
Charlie didn't respond.
"We'll be outside. Just call us."
Outside in the waiting room Jay sat on the floor against the wall. Voight sat next to him.
"How is she?"
"She fell asleep, um she's in pain. I want Bryan to feel the pain he caused Charlie."
Voight resting his hand on Jay's shoulder. "I already have that taken care of. Bryan has a visitor for the rest of his life."
"Good."
