Tony sighed sadly to himself.
"We're trapped alone out here so I guess we need to work together. I'm Tony Stark also known as Iron Man. Or a failure in my dad's eyes." Tony says introducing himself, and whispering the last bit to himself.
"Nebula, the adopted daughter of Thanos." Nebula said emotionlessly. Though there was a bit of spite in the way she said Thanos's name.
"Huh, let me guess, fucking daddy issues?" Tony asks, with a look of understanding.
"Every time I failed him, he would replace a part of my body with a machine. Tortured me for 40 hours straight once. Never told me he loved me. Mostly used me. Tortured me to force the soul stone location out of Gamora. I would quite gladly watch a thousand worlds burn if it meant Thanos dies." Nebula says
They sat in tense silence for a while.
"So guess what, I'm your new dad if that's alright with you." Tony said his voice cracking. He also had tears in his eyes.
Nebula looked lost in thought before nodding.
"I... I would like that... thank you.... dad." Nebula says, softly.
"Can I hug you?" Tony asks.
"Whats a h-hug?" Nebula asks.
"If you promise to not attack me I'll show you." Tony says, his heartbreaking. She tentatively nods.
He slowly gets up and wraps his arms around her, hugging her.
"This is hugging. You usually wrap your arms around the other person." Tony said, pulling away.
She grabs his arms before he moves away.
"It's disgusting.... do it again." She says, looking down.
"Please..." She adds after.
He smiles, hugging her again. She slowly hugs him back, smiling to herself.
Yeah, they were stuck in space, but they had each other to keep company.
