Peter was shook when he walked into the living room at the Avengers compound.

He was expecting Clint and Sam to be playing Mario kart screaming at each other while Bucky was baking in the kitchen. Steve drawing Tony who was probably on a Starkpad. Nat, Loki and Bruce reading in their little corner made of beanbags. And Thor would probably usually be at Asgard, or eating pop-arts. 

But no everyone was sitting down talking, but to a random kid.

"So I punched him across the face and told him, you dare touch her again I'm going to make sure you get sent to jail for the rest of your life asshole, and he ran off terrified only to be caught by the police. They thanked me and then I went to the nearest children's hospital and helped out for a few hours." The new kid said.

"Uh- hey guys." Peter said awkwardly and confused.

"Oh hey Peter listen your fired alright? Your things are at your apartment alright? Goodbye!" Tony said not even bothering to look at Peter who looked shocked and hurt.

"O-Ok, s-see yah." With that Peter left. The second he entered the elevator the tears didn't stop.

He took a deep breath and walked out walking to the front desk, not noticing his decathlon team watching him in confusion.

The front desk lady looked up to him and smiled.

"Hi Peter! How are you today? Isn't it lab day?" Jamie asked.

Yeah it was, that's why he wasn't in school today but by the looks of it, no more lab day for him.

"I'm ok, how are you?"

"I'm doing fine. What are you doing down here?" Jamie asked. Everyone seemed to want to know the answer to that.

"I quit." And with that, he placed his badge down, waved goodbye and walked out the tower; not bothering to turn back to watch the workers shocked expressions.

He'd been interning there for almost 3 years now and he quit? Just like that?

Just then Scott came down with his brother Stiles, in the elevator. They had stopped dead in their tracks confused why it was so gloomy down in the lobby.

"Who died?" Stiles tried joking.

Jamie turned around to the boys, unshed tears in her eyes, as she spoke those 2 dreaded words everyone hopped they'd never have to hear.

"Peter quit."

They stood frozen on the spot. Peter was like their little brother that they loved to pick on. And now, they won't be able to see him again, or at least not around the tower.

"Do you know why he would possibly quit?" MJ finally spoke up. That seemed to snap everyone out of their trance. Happy looked grumpier then ever and Jamie's facade turned cold as did everyone else's.

"The Avengers went on a mission a few days ago and came back with a boy named Joshua. After he came around, they started acting differently, not like themselves-" Jamie's explanation was cut off with the elevator dinging.

There stood Joshua talking with Mr. Stark, talking about the Iron Man suits. Joshua was a short boy for his age. He was 5'5, bright purple bleached hair, vibrant green eyes and dark skin. He also wore only dark clothes and always had his phone in his hand.
