you let out a grunt as you reflected a kunai.

"alright. enough for today."

you sighed and sunk to the floor, sitting in a cross crossed position.

orochimaru's footsteps approached you slowly.

"you did very well today love."

you smiled slightly and reached out a hand.

"help me, would you?"

he pulled you off the ground gently and pulled you to him.

you let out a breathy laugh and sighed, resting your forehead on his shoulder.

"i think we could be great partners in crime."

you hummed.

"oh really?"

orochimaru ran a hand through your hair and placed a kiss on your ear.

"yes. i think we'd make a great team."

you hummed and continued to toss small rocks in your hands, feeling the smooth surfaces.

orochimaru grabbed your hand and stood you up.

you set down the pebbles and smiled gently.

"what is the matter?"

orochimaru smiled and turned over your wrist to face him.

"how would you like to see through the eyes of a snake? even if not the same as a human, just a chance for a day?"

a small reptile slid out of his sleeve and coiled around your wrist.

you felt your eyes well up slightly and grinned.

"sure."

the snake bit into your skin causing you to wince.

when it retracted its fangs, your eyes remained shut underneath the cloth.

the snake slithered away and you let out a shuddering breath. your hands shook as orochimaru let go of them.

his fingers gently untied the cloth once again, hesitating.

after a moment, his released the fabric and the cloth fell to the floor.

you opened your eyes and bit your lip.

tears began to well up.

orochimaru sighed.

"i'm sorry my love. i truly believed this would work..."

you smiled gently and took his hand.

"it's alright. i feel as if it would be weird to see for a day, even as a snake."

"one day,"

he murmured.

"one day i will give you sight. and then you can see the beauty of this world."

the man tied to the board struggled and glared at you.

you raised an eyebrow and twiddled your fingertips.

he dug the syringe into his arm, and the man began to scream out it pain.

after a few hours, orochimaru took off his gloves and had kabuto dispose of the man.

you kicked your feet lazily as you dozed off.

"dear?"

you hummed and sat up so you could hear better.

"i love you, you understand this, right?"

you smiled.

"i love you too."

"so you know i don't find you useless?"

you giggled and your hand found their way onto his cheeks.

"yes orochimaru. i do know. thank you."

he kissed your forehead.

"anything for you dear."

"my sincerest apologies lord orochimaru. i must be coming down with something." he lied.

orochimaru grunted and sighed.

"then go to your chambers. we have work to do."

kabuto nodded and left the room, hearing your giggles as he exited.

he let out a frustrated sigh.
