This story's focal point will be centred around family, friendships, and relationships. Not to mention, following a lot of more such as touchy issues and intergrading life lessons (I hope) would be seen through. Nonetheless, I want to tell that this story, I will try, to update three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), and so far, I've prewritten 17 chapters as of January 1st. So, if I lack days or I don't update three times a week like I promised; I'm either being lazy to write or I have a lot of schoolwork and can't find time. Don't judge me. My goal is to finish this story by August. Let's see if I can.

Happy New Years, by the way!

Laughter formed from the living room, leaving the house in echoes following down to the kitchen. I rolled my eyes, having heard the joke Kenji's friend made and found it nothing near to be as hilarious as their crowd made it sound. It was almost insulting; racist. However, Kenji's lips sewn shut as he refuses to acknowledge his friend made an offensive term.

I turn to my grandma, "Sobo, watashi wa kenjiga kono tane no hito to yūjindearu to wa shinji raremasen.. [Grandma, I can't believe Kenji is friends with those types of people.]" I complained to my ageing grandma — who, frankly, still looks good for her age. Since she changed her diet into vegetarian once she hits her fifties, her skin was more youthful compared to white grandmothers, her hair didn't turn a fine line of white but instead grew in dark colours with light growth of grey on some strands. She stood tall at 4'10, a midget compared to her son of 6'3. Her eyes set on the problem before her, which was to rinse the lettuce she bought home from the store with clean, cool water.
