Rua Pov 

I was watching TV when the front door open and closed I knew it was my borther so I continued watching after few mintues my brother came to the living room looking all tired and was ready to passout on the couch. I felt bad for him so I went to his side of the couch and cuddled with him I know my brother loves it when I hug him and instantly he hugged me back with a kiss on my temple. We stayed there for like a hour. Just when i was about to speak my stomach grumbled letting my brother know that I haven't had anything since I came home.

"You didn't eat anything" He asked 

I looked at him sheepily and smiled saying "NO"

My brother looked at me glaring but still laughed knowing I wouldn't eat without him. So I told him to get freshen up and come down once he was done minutes later my brother came down when I was putting the last dish on the table. We couldn't talk much during dinner as both of us were very hungry and didn't think talking was necessary at the moment than filling your empty stomach.

Later after dinner we sat in the living room watching TV when my phone kept buzzing indicating that someone was calling me when I saw who was calling I was excited, its been a few days I haven't spoken to Ruth and I know I was in big trouble as she was Video calling me. So I told my brother that Ruth was calling me and told him to keep quite one's done I picked the call only to hear profanities from her and I know its strange but I felt good and started laughing so hard that my sides started hurting. Its always fun to see how worked up Ruth can get sometimes and I wonder how my dear brother will handle such a chaotic girl. 

"Ruth calm down, am sorry I didn't call you in awhile" I said

"You better be Rua, you know I felt so left out when you didn't call me neither your brother, both you are idiots"  She said 

"Are you angry that I didn't call you or my brother didn't" i asked teasingly 

"You" she replied 

"Okay whatever fits your plate" I said  

"By the way how are you? How is everything there? I really miss you Ruth" I said all at one's

"Am fine?" she said 

"but why do I find it more like a question than a statement" I replied

"What? No everything is fine" she said 

"Ruth you better tell me what happen or I have ways to find out what happened if I do that and I get to know what happened I will take the first flight home and murder you best friend or not" i replied very angrily.

"Okay Fine! I had a fight with my mother she was saying that I am selfish. I only think about myself and not about them, she said that I am not fit to be their daughter. She slaped me Rua and I did nothing I just stood there listening to all her nonsense, am sorry at the moment Rua I will break anything that will come to my hand. How could I just stand there and listen to her Rua after all these years of fightining with her today I just stood there doing nothing." By the end she was crying and I was doing the same but one person was ready to lash out. 

"Is he there" Ruth asked 

"uhh"

"Om is he there" she asked this time clearly, but before I could respond my phone was snatched away from me forcibly by my brother.

"Ruth you are getting away from those monsters now and am not listening to any of your shit do you get it" Om yelled 

"And where do you think I should go O" She said 

"I cannot go anywhere, You know that very well. If you want me to get out of here you tell me where should I go and stay" she said furiously

My brother went quite for a moment not saying anything as if contemplating different options in his head. Then I heard Ruth say "Exactly, that is what I thought Om" she replied sarcastically

Out of know where my brother said "Come to US I will take care of you. However, you want to work before pursuing  your higher edcuation right so come here work and complete your graduation." He said as if a matter of fact 

"Om have to lost your mind completely. Who will give a job there? its not like I know someone there right" She said 

"I know someone who will give you a job on my recommendation" He said 

"Om as tempting as your offer is I don't think I can take it. If I come there I will be a burden for you and I cannot do that" She said which inturn made Om red with anger.

"If i were you I would choose my next words wisely Ru" I said because my brother was on verge of breaking things.

"Om am sorry okay I didn't mean like that" she said 

"Why would you be a burden for me Ruth. You are not a burden to me you are very special for me and you know that very well" He said 

"Yes Ruth you are not a burden. You are just like me to him you are his sister" I said teasingly

"No she is not my sister "

"No he is not my brother and out of all time now is the time for you to joke around" she said 

My brother looked at me as if telling say that one more time I will disown you even before you think look. That was my que to shut my mouth becuase I know my brother won't hestiate to do something like that. 

"Ruth I want you to take up this offer, offers like this won't always come knocking your door please. If you think you are going to stay free of cost here at my place dont worry you can pay half the bills." He said 

"Brother do I have to pay half of the bills too because just so you know I won't be paying a penny" I said out of know where. My brother looked at me and said "Rua" it was now my time to shut up again and I did that like the good girl I am. 

"Ruth I want you to consider this offer don't worry I am only going to recommend, you are the one who has the work hard to get the job. Is that good" He said 

"Okay I will consider. But you have to stick to your word, I don't want you to interfer during this process" She said 

"Okay fine. But you need to come here for the interview" My brother said 

"Okay" Ru replied 

"Ru you are coming here and staying with us. Brother even I want to work with Ru am not going to attend the university" I replied only to have two bulls  ready to pounce on me.

"We will kill you no matter how much we love you. Do you get it" My brother said 

"Okay" 

"good"

"Now girls it time to sleep we will talk tomorrow again okay" he said looking at Ruth all the while. 

"Bye Ru" I said 

"Bye Ru-Ru" she  said 

"Bye O" 

With that she cut the call and my brother handed that phone back to me. Later we bid goodbyes each other along side my brother wanting talk about my first day tomorrow.
