(Part 3 of 3 of the mini series
Forgiving Edmund)

"Hurry!" Peter shouted as he, his sisters, and Mr. Beaver ran towards the White Witch's castle; trying to catch Edmund before it was too late.
Peters eyes went wide as he laid eyes on the castle. It was huge, and made of nothing but ice.

Peter immediately ran forward in an attempt to catch Edmund, but Mr. Beaver quickly stopped him.

"The Witch wants all four of you!" He said eventually.
"To stop the prophecy from coming true! To kill ya!!!"

Peters eyes went wide as he looked back at the castle. Seeing the door close as his brother walked inside.

Peter sighed as he looked at the huge castle that his brother was now inside. Having no idea what would happen to him, but he knew it wouldn't be anything pleasant.

"Only Aslan can help your brother now." Mr. Beaver said after a while.
"Then take us to him." Peter said quickly.
He knew they needed to act fast, and that his brother was in trouble. He prayed that he would make it out alive. He really didn't want to him.

During the journey to find Aslan Peter thought about his brother often. With everything he had heard about the Witch, he knew Edmund was probably going to get hurt. He wondered if he was locked in a prison cell, or being tortured. He wondered if he had frozen or even starved to death. He wondered if she had turned him to stone. He wondered if he was even alive.

When Aslan asked why Edmund had betrayed them, Peter couldn't help but blame himself. He had been so harsh on him. And why? He had no idea. Edmund was only twelve, he should have treated him better. He wasn't a good big brother. If Jadis killed Edmund, Peter would never forgive himself...

Aslan told Peter he had taken good care of his family. But Peter didn't agree. Lucy almost drowned. For the brief seconds that felt like hours, when Peter couldn't find Lucy, he hoped with his entire being that Edmund was at least alive. Because if not, he would have lost two of his siblings just days after leaving home. And he couldn't handle that.

He lost his brother about an hour after they entered Narnia, and he didn't even know where he was or if he was alive. He wondered, what was happening to Edmund at this very moment.
A million things crosse his mind, none of which were pleasant.

But in that moment, if Peter had known what was happening to his brother, he probably would have broke down in tears.

Peter didn't know it, but at this moment, his twelve year old brother, was in the darkest, coldest part of the woods.
He was tied to a tree, gagged, and being taunted by an evil dwarf. This same dwarf would place a knife to his neck in an attempt to kill him in mere minutes.

Edmund felt scared out of his mind, and was sure he was going to die.

If Peter was aware this was happening, he probably would have rescued Edmund himself. But he wasn't. So he just continued to pray he was alive, like he had done every night since he lost Edmund.

Peter lay in bed that night, wondering if Oreius and the others had succeeded in rescuing Edmund. He couldn't help but wonder what happen if they were too late. What if they brought back Edmund, but he was dead. He couldn't bare to think of that.

He just kept thinking of the last conversation he had with Edmund. It was about a coat. He gave him a girls coat, Edmund wasn't happy, but took the coat anyway. He had given Peter an extremely angry and annoyed glare.
What if this was the last proper moment Peter ever had with Edmund. And it was nothing more than a fight over a silly coat.
