,,When Leonore awakened Lily, we both knew why she was awakening her first. I think we both were. . . Aware, she wouldn't be able to bring the both of them back. She was going to use two different spells. A special one for Lily, a special one for James. I, must admit. . I was quite ignorant, and did not look at the spell she was going to use to bring Potter back." Severus exhaled a long sigh.

,,The spell she used to bring your mother, is a spell that brings one from the precipice of Death. Meaning, she had to use a spell to bring your mother's soul back to the precipice itself, before she could do any further actions. I still do not know the spell she's used to bring the soul back and I do not wish to. I ask you, too, to not research it." Severus said and Harry nodded.

,,Originally, I was the one to bring your father back. But she refused to let me, as I'm a taught necromancer, not a natural. I would not be able to perform it correctly. At least that's the lie she's showed down my throat and fed me with. I've realized it after a while, she knew she would die after bringing Lily back. She didn't want me to bring your father back. I would be able to perform the spell, but that way, she wouldn't have Potter for herself in the afterlife."

Harry's life has been quite unpleasant and definitely interesting for these past almost ten years. But as he was listening and listening, he wanted none of it. Everything around him was weird.
His parents weren't even alive together, a man who worked for another man, who desired to kill Harry, became his step-father. A man who had been a pain in the arse for the past 7 years was his fiance - he wasn't complaining, it was just kind of weird. Then his two best friends decided to break up. A woman who he thought of as a saviour to his mother was revealed to be in love with his father, not to mention the fact that he's learning this while he is just a month after a surgery performed by his fiance who's not seen him for a year. . .

Lord Merlin, what else was he going to learn or let happen now?

Harry regretted asking himself that question. He was taught it was better to not ask and he should have lived by this knowledge. Maybe if he hadn't a desire to know - to ask, his life would have been better. Easier. Smaller.

Harry's mother walked inside of the room, in a beautiful dark dress made out of silk - probably a gift from Severus. Severus made a cup appear, it was filled with earl grey tea and Lily just sat down and listened to what next Severus had to say. But before he continued, he had to make sure his woman felt alright.

,,Love, how has your nap been?" It was so weird to see Severus so affectionate but at this point, it became normal.
,,Actually pretty great! So hi Harry, Draco!" Lily seemed overly excited to see the boys and no wonder. They've not even talked properly yet and she's been alive for a year.
,,Hi mom." Harry smiled as the words left his mouth. It felt so unfamiliar, so interesting to have a mother.
,,Hi Lily." Draco said, gulping down the urge to call her Mrs. Snape or Mrs. Evans.
,,So how are we feeling, boys?" She asked, her excitement to see the boys still very noticeable and visible on her face.
,,Quite overwhelmed. Too much new information." Harry said and Draco nodded and to comfort Harry, he started rubbing circles on his back.

,,And you, Narcissa? Farah?" Lily asked the only two present women in the room. They both looked at her, smiles on their faces.
,,I'd say we're doing great." Narcissa said and took a last sip from her tea.
It was just then that Draco noticed the two untouched cups in front of himself and Harry.
,,Drink, love. It will make you feel better." Draco encouraged Harry, while taking his own cup and sipping it like there would be no tomorrow.
Well, who knows. With their luck, there will be another person trying to kill either Harry, Severus or Draco himself before they'll be able to become completely happy again.

,,I'll continue now, is that okay with you Harry?" Severus asked and Harry nodded. To be completely honest, he wasn't sure anymore. He felt emotional, as if he would not be happy again. The things he was learning just weren't something he'd want to know but he knew he had to know them.

Yes, maybe he'd be able to live without the knowledge and the real reasons why his father wasn't with him right now, but the desire to know, which was burning inside of him, made him listen to every word Severus and Farah were telling him. He sometimes hated himself for being curious.

Draco on the other side knew that whatever Severus was going to say, would affect Harry even more and he was scared Harry's mentality would get even worse. It's already not great, but if it gets even worse he will have to prescribe Harry with pills or potions, whichever works better, and he did not want that.

The truth is, once you start getting pills such as sedatives, antidepressants and other - which fall into both categories or neither, you become addicted easily. When it comes to potions, they don't last long and each time Harry would need a larger dose.

Draco was afraid of Harry's mental state worsening. His post traumatic stress disorder has definitely been getting triggered today, and maybe even is getting triggered right now. Harry was good at hiding things though, which Draco did not appreciate. Harry showed no sign of going into an episode though, which Draco was happy for.

The fear was about more than Harry's PTSD episode though. Harry's condition was inevitable. Things such as PTSD may never truly be cured, it always leaves a mark. Harry's burnt face, his scar, or the many many cuts on his hand or anywhere on his body for that matter, were a reminder of the awful things that's been done to him.

If Harry had to be prescribed pills, Draco knew he'd become addicted. Pills push the emotion down, sedatives calm you down completely - some help you fall asleep. As soon as Harry would be relieved of that bitter, sad, anxiety resembling emotion, he'd never want to be in the state again.

If he gave Harry a potion to keep him happy, the boy would want more. And more. Resulting in yet another type of addiction, even harder to stop. As much as he loved his man and wanted nothing but happiness for him, he couldn't let that happen.

That's why right now, Draco was having an internal battle with himself, wondering whether or not to stop Severus from speaking further. Deep down inside he knew he should, not for his own, but for Harry's sake. But his selfish curiosity, wrapped up and covered by the word interest - so he wouldn't feel so guilty - got the worse out of him.

He decided to not stop Severus, and it may have been the worst decision Draco Malfoy ever made. And he did decide to get the dark mark, even if he didn't have to.
