You jumped up in panic, scrambling to press yourself into the corner of your seat. You met Dabi's eyes, his face wearing the same confused and equally horrified expression as yours.
"I-I uh, geez", you stuttered, trying to arrange your thoughts, "I'm sorry - I don't really remember falling asleep...".
Dabi's brows furrowed as his focus moved from your eyes to your cheek. "Why- ... you're crying", he muttered, pursing his lips in discomfort. "Huh?", you mumbled, bringing your hand to your face. Your fingers grazed your cheeks, feeling the moistness on them. "Heh", you forced a panicked smile, "not sure how that happened ... sorry". He continued to stare at you for a few more seconds before he took his arm away and relaxed back into his seat. "Whatever", he muttered.
You sunk back into your own seat, embarrassment overcoming you. There was nothing more you wanted to do than sink into the ground. Unfortunately, you were 35,000 feet in the air.

After the plane had landed and you had survived the 'fight for survival' through the airport alongside Dabi - who looked as though he was going to have a mental breakdown any moment -you finally managed to make it outside. A clock on the way out had told you that it was roundabout 02:30 in the morning.
You breathed in the fresh nighttime air, stretching to release some of the stress. The breeze caressed your face as it carried along the scent of the ocean. "So, where to now?", Dabi asked, suppressing a yawn. Unlike you, he hadn't slept at all on the flight.
You opened your mouth to answer Dabi, yet nothing came out as you realised something, well, quite dreadful, really. You hadn't been able to organise anything and this was to blame on the fact that someone had taken your phone from you.
Dabi saw your face, studying it for a moment before he groaned, seeming to understand the look of terror on your face. "Y/N", he started, turning to glare at you, "I swear to god; if that look on your face stands for what I think it does, I will not hesitate to kill you and then myself". "If I had the guarantee that you'd kill yourself, I'd gladly oblige", you hissed, "how was I supposed to plan anything, when you took away my phone? Was I just supposed to start sending smoke signals? Or maybe write a letter and get a chicken to send the message?".
"Shaddup", he groaned, "it doesn't matter now anyways. You grew up here, so you've gotta know some place we can crash at". You sighed, rubbing your temples. "Yeah", you muttered, "I think I might know a place".

You stared up at the two story house. The house was dark and silent, showing no signs of life. You prayed that everything was just like it had been before. Well, it's not like you had any other choice, to be fair.
You walked up to the door, pressing the tip of your finger against the door bell. A shrill sound rang through the quiet house. Nothing. No lights went on. You swallowed. "Oh c'mon", you cursed under your breath. "JACE", you yelled, throwing your fist against the door, knowing full well that the bell would probably have a greater effect. Like a gift from the gods, a light in the second story went on. You could see how someone made their way downstairs as said lights went on. A familiar voice grumbled on the other side of the door as you could hear locks being undone.
