It was a delicate, comforting fragrance that intoxicated him like nothing had ever in his life. It exhilarated him, made him feel all giddy inside. Made him feel pretty stupid too, he realized.
"What do you think you're doing?", you warned, turning to glance at his face. His eyes were closed, a smile so small that it was barely visible, played on his lips . "Enjoying myself", he murmured. "I bet", you glared at him, "get off me". The fact that you had to fight against leaning into his touch sent an uneasy fear through you. Essentially, you knew what was happening - or what had already happened; but you couldn't face it. You wouldn't accept it.
Dabi stepped away and next to you. You could see he was clearly tired as well. "You ever wondered if you'd ever fall in love?", he asked all of a sudden. You sent him a tired look. "Dabi. I can't even fall asleep".
He stared at you, a smirk rising to his lips. "Is that so?". You chugged your glass, setting it down. "On second thought, I might go into a coma. I should go", you turned to leave. "Y/N, if you run to your bed, I'm going to go down on you", he teased behind you. You turned around, all while continuing to walk, quickening your pace. "You can't do that".
He tilted his head ever so slightly, taking a step towards you. "Dabi", you warned, a smile unwillingly making its way to your lips. He chuckled. "Seems like you should be running", he mumbled, his pace quickening. Your face dropped, a squeal escaping you as you started running towards your bed – as if that would save you from him.
You ran into your room, jumping onto your bed, followed by Dabi who threw himself onto your bed as well. The bed bounced as he fell flat on his back as you sat against the wall, protecting yourself with a pillow. Dabi shook, laughing quietly. You stared at him in bewilderment as he lay there, his eyes closed, trying to stifle his laugh. You had thought this was going to turn into an actual wrestling tournament, but there he was, harmlessly lying there and laughing quietly – something you had never seen him do. The closest was always his chuckle.
He turned around, propping himself up on his elbows as he sent you a sheepish grin. "What are you doing?", you mumbled, trying to suppress your own smile. "What?", he asked, his grin not dying for a second as he continued to stare at you. "Well, aren't you supposed to be all edgy and serious and stuff, like you usually are", you averted your eyes, "y'know all grownup and telling me I should stop behaving like some child, and insulting and harassing me". His eyebrows shot up. "Insulting and harassing you? You're the one who does the insulting, Y/N", he momentarily closed his eyes, "and in any case, I feel like you forget that I'm not 800 years old. We're practically the same age".
He sighed lightly. Y/N was correct. This was completely out of his character and he felt extremely stupid, but he couldn't help himself. He felt all giddy inside. For once, he felt alive again. Not just swimming through monotone life, barely even processing what was going on. He knew he was bad. He broke the law, killed, didn't care for anyone's life, which included his own. But when it came to her, he didn't know why, but he wanted to be the best he could. He couldn't bare the thought of her being hurt by him ... or by anyone else. He would kill without hesitation to protect her; the girl who cared about someone as worthless as him in all her perfection.
You lightly rolled your eyes. "Go to sleep, Dabi. You're high on pain medication", you ushered him off your bed. He chuckled, standing up. He walked, yet remained standing in your doorway, looking over his shoulder, smirking. "Goodnight Asshole", you mumbled, trying to get him to leave so that you could finally sleep. "Sleep tight princess", he mumbled, before closing the door behind him. You rolled your eyes, throwing the bedsheets over yourself and closing your eyes in an effort to go to sleep. God, you weren't sure how much more your heart and already dwindling sanity could take.
Dabi walked towards the couch, smiling softly like a moron. He thought back to Y/N, by all means he could die happy right now, and if only for a moment, it felt like everything was okay. He lay down on the couch. The actual reason he wasn't sleeping in his own room was, because 1. He was too lazy and 2. He didn't trust that Jason guy. Something in the back of his mind was telling him something was disturbingly off about the guy, especially when it came to Y/N.

You awoke the next morning to a humming sound. Lazily opening your eyes, you looked around. Your eyes were burning and your muscles felt beyond stiff. You winced as you sat up, your muscles having turned to stone and an instant stinging in your chest. You pressed your hand to your heart, trying to bare the pain. Your head felt heavy and your chest tight. You took deep breaths, trying to use your quirk to make yourself feel better. You weren't sure how it worked, but as much as your quirk managed to destroy your body, it could also heal it. It eased down after a while, letting you finally take notice of the humming noise.
You listened; realizing it wasn't a humming, but the sound of the shower. You sighed, getting up. It was probably Dabi. Stepping out of your room, you headed for your mini kitchen, making yourself something to drink.
You sipped your drink, lazily staring ahead of yourself, going through yesterdays events in your head. Setting the glass down, you internally flinched, your muscles paining with every small movement. You were going to have to get Jason's opinion on what your next move should be.
You heard the bathroom door open, the patting of naked feet on the smooth tiles revealing that Dabi had stepped out. "Oh, Y/N", he mumbled, "I need new clothes. My old ones are dirty and full of your blood". You rolled your eyes. "It's about time you noticed", you slowly turned around to face him, "but in any case, I'm not your mom so sort it out yo-". Your sentence was cut short by a screech that left your throat. "DABI!", you yelled out almost hysterically, throwing your hands over your eyes, "GO AND PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!".
He stared at you like it was no big deal. "But I am wearing clothes", he stated simply. "That is just your underwear! That does not qualify as clothes!", you peaked through your hands, "go and put some clothes on! There are some men's clothes in my room in the cupboard!". Dabi was standing in front of you, casually leaning against the wall, wearing nothing but his underwear. You tried not to let your cheeks flame up – to no avail – you felt the heat in them rise. Dabi was well-built, his physique extremely chiselled. His body was clearly still hot and moist from the shower, almost shining with what you assumed was crème. It was if though his athletic, muscular frame demanded your attention. His pecs were full and well defined, only adding to his perfect V shaped figure and slender torso.
"You like what you see?", he teased. You closed your eyes, sighing. "Dabi! Go put some clothes on!", you ordered, trying to hide your blush. He chuckled. "Y/N", he mumbled. You opened your eyes, peeking between your fingers in curiosity. He licked his lips, smirking. "C'mon, be honest, how badly do you want to stare at me right now?".
You glared at him. "Look at the stars and count them. That's how badly", you stated. "But its morning?", he questioned. "Exactly". His eyebrows lifted; for some reason his smirk deepening. "It's really funny seeing you lie to yourself so much", he mumbled turning around and walking into your room. You averted your eyes. His wide slats only made it that much harder to not stare; his back muscles were visible as he walked back to your room, from his muscular traps down to the bottom of his lower back.
You shook your head. This was really getting out of hand. Choosing to distract yourself, you left your room to go and join the others.
