Brizo asked JJ to drop her at The Wreck. Her shift was starting soon and she didn't want to be late.
The restaurant was almost empty. She was cleaning some tables when Mr. C arrived with Kie following him.
"I told you, Kiara. I hope you finally understand why you shouldn't hang out with those boys" He scolded her. He locked himself in the little office he had, not noticing Brizo.
"What was all that about?"
"Uhm. My dad had to bail John B and me out of jail" She shrugged while picking up an apron and putting it on.
"What?! What happened at the lighthouse?" Brizo followed Kiara to the kitchen. She picked up some stuff and went back to the tables zone.
"The lighthouse keeper freaked out when John B showed him the compass. We didn't do anything and he just called the cops" Kiara explained. "Next thing I know we're running trying to mislead them"
"What the fuck? Why is that compass so important?" Brizo kept on cleaning tables while talking to Kiara.
"I don't know, Bee. But listen, something else happened" Brizo raised her eyebrows at the girl, "John B kissed me"
"He kiss- he did what?" She dropped her sprayer.
"Yeah, he kissed me!" Kiara laughed.
"And what did you do?"
"I pushed him away, Bee" She laughed.
"Oh God, I'm sure he's pissed"
"I mean, I told him it was alright. It was just bad timing, you know?"
"Yeah, I get it. But do you want to kiss him again?" Brizo smiled at her friend playfully wiggling her eyebrows.
"I don't know, I'm confused!" Both girls laughed, "Hey, why did John B leave Pope babysitting you?"
"Oh, uhm- that" Brizo scratched the back of her neck nervously. "JJ and I almost kissed" Kiara opened her eyes so wide they almost rolled out of ther head. "John B caught us and watered us with the hose"
Kie burst out laughing and Brizo soon joined the girl.
"Oh my god. And he didn't kill JJ?"
"He's still alive. Anyway, today..."
"You kissed?"
"Nop. Pope made us separate and then the cops arrived so we left" She shrugged.
"Okay, so... You almost kissed twice... Girl, what about the no pogue on pogue macking rule? It was made specifically for you" The girls laughed.
"I don't care about the rule. John B can't control my life. I'm worried that our friendship won't be the same if we- you know" She smiled.
"Well, I mean- I like the rule. It helps us avoid unnecessary drama like this... But I get that JJ and you had this thing..."
