Brizo ran until she saw JJ in the distance. He had the bag still in his hand, and she could tell he was on edge. She catched up to him and called his name making him turn around with surprise.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"I'm coming with you"

"No, you're not" He said turning again and walking away.

"Yes, I am" She frowned, running and grabbing his shoulder to turn him around.

"Bee" He sighed clenching his jaw. "You're not coming with me. Go with the others"

"No, I'm not going anywhere, J" She said firmly. "I don't agree with the others"

"You mean you're not tired of my shit?" He chuckled.

She could see he had been crying, however if she asked about it he would just deny it as he always did. Deny, deny, deny

"JJ, robbing a drug dealer wasn't a good idea..."

"Here we go again" He said rubbing his forehead.

"But I get why you did it. And I'm not mad at you"

"You- you're not mad at me?" He asked, his voice starting to crack a little.

He knew he hadn't done the right thing, but that wasn't what was bothering him. It was the fact that none of his friends followed him. None of them but Brizo.

"No, of course not. You reacted as you always do" She smiled softly. "John B and I always try to get you back on the right side of the tracks but this time he... He just didn't know how to do it"

"Brizo, I'm not a fucking thing you can try to fix everything that falls and gets broken" He said clenching his jaw and looking at the girl in the eyes.

"You know that's not what I meant"

"Oh, really? Cause it looks like you want me to be this perfect boy who always does the right thing! And guess what? I'm not! So stop trying to get me back on the right side of the tracks or however you say it" He yelled.

She took a few steps forward and grabbed the boy's face. He turned away from her and looked into the distance, but she made him look back at her. Their eyes meeting, and she could see how broken he was.

"JJ, listen to me" She spoke softly. "I just want you to be yourself, okay? You know I'm the first one to follow you wherever you go. Fuck, most of the time the dumb ideas are yours and mine!" She chuckled and catched a glimpse of a smile on his face. "But this time, it went too far and you know it"

"Yeah, I know" He sighed.

"Then why don't you put the money back?"

"Because I'm planning on using it to pay restitution"
