"Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end, it simply means 'I'll miss you', until we meet again."

The first thing that happened after Charlie left was an arm-wrestle competition.

I know right, I'm having flashbacks too.

I don't really know how this happened, but Edward made a bet with Jasper that Bella was stronger than me now, and I guess Jasper got very offended or something, as he called a arm-wrestle between Bella and I, while we watched them and wondered how they were decades old.

"Is this really happening?" I whined, crossing my arms indignantly, as Bella grinned like she had just won the lottery. Maybe I was scared Bella's newborn strength would beat mine, and then we would spend the rest of eternity re-living this experience. "I think my arm is kinda sore-"

"Shut up!" Sadie smacked the table, making me jump, although I am pretty sure I knew that was coming. "This is happening."

I rolled my eyes, turning to shot Jasper a stiff look, "you are so competitive."

He grinned innocently, flashing me a thumbs up, "I am very confident in your strength, doll."

"I am very confident that you are so competitive."

"I am not getting any younger here!" Emmett snapped, looking up at the dark sky, "technically I am not getting older either, but I have things  to do!"

"Shut up, Emmett." Rosalie and Alice spoke in perfect unison.

"Yeah, we all know you have no friends." I teased, sticking my tongue out as Bella eagerly traipsed over to the rock we would be using as a table. She pressed her elbow to it, grinning like a child on Christmas morning. I groaned, reluctantly dragging my feet over to our designated spot, getting on my knees and clasping my hand with Bella's. The rock was rough against my bare elbow, but it didn't hurt like it would have previously.

"This is for all of the marbles!" Sadie announced, making her voice deeper and dramatic. Her eyes flashed an unusual shade of green, before returning back to normal. "Welcome to the event of the year!"

"I am gonna kill myself..." I muttered, rolling my eyes as Sadie sang the national anthem. "Just get on with it!"

"Fine," she pulled a face, "be that way... go!"

The arm wrestle didn't actually last that long, as the second we both applied pressure, the rock cracked and split in half. I jumped up, shock jumping in my throat, as Bella giggled gleefully. "The hell?"

There was a very long pause, that Jasper and Edward used to examine the rock, and then each other.

 "Court was totally gonna win."

My heart was racing at a speed I knew wasn't healthy as I pushed open the door to the small cafe later that night. My palms were sweaty, and I felt like my chest had swelled up and was trying to escape through my throat. We made a collective decision earlier that Jess was probably too stupid to realize my eyes were a different color, but they seemed to burn as I made my way into the back of the small building, the scent of coffee that I used to love snaking to the back of my throat and making me scrunch up my nose.
