n.hanifin- calgary flames

My husband, Noah Hanifin, is out at hockey practice and I'm sitting on our bed 9 months pregnant and due any moment, as I lay back into our queen sized bed I feel water coming out of me and I look down seeing a wet spot in my pants, "Fuck!" I mutter to myself and grab my phone.

"Yes, my beautiful girl?" I hear Noah say as he answers the phone, "My water broke," I say urgently and I hear him shuffle around a bit, "Fuck okay, um stay where you are and I'll be there with Matthew to come take you to the hospital," Noah says to me and I nod forgetting that I wasn't FaceTiming him, "Ok!" I say and he quickly hangs up the phone.

When Matthew and Noah arrive

"Ok babygirl, you are gonna sit in the back with Matt and I'll drive," Noah says and he grabs my one arm and Matt grabs the other and they help me up, Noah grabs the diaper bag on the way out, "Lets go have this baby!" Noah says trying to lighten the mood which somehow works, "Fuck!" I scream feeling a very hurtful contraction, "You're okay (Y/N)" Matthew promises and I nod slowly as he rubs my stomach.

At the Hospital

"(Y/N) Hanifin?" The doctor(Tami) calls out after sitting in the waiting room for about 10 minutes, "Let's see if you're ready to have the baby," She smiles and I nod at her returning the favor, "Ooh girl, you are 7 centimeters dilated," The doctor says to me and my eyes go wide along with Matt and Noah's, "Unfortunately there are no other rooms for you to go in so you'll be having the baby right here," The doctor says as she smiles and then gave me the hospital gown to change in to.

"Noah, will you help her?" Tami asks my husband and he nods and begins helping me, "Finally, I can sit down," I laugh and the boys just smile, "Let's just hook some wires up to you so we can check you and the babies heart beat while you give birth, you'll be giving a natural birth so I need Matt to hold this leg and Noah to hold the other," Tami explained and I nodded at her and sit up so she could put the wires in my arm and I looked at her.

"You think I could get an epidural?" I ask and she nods with a sweet smile putting her finger up signaling for me to wait so I nod, "I'm nervous," I say to them and they look at me shrugging, "I'd be nervous too, woman are so strong," Noah responds to me and I chuckled as he pecks my lips still holding my legs up, "Okay Mrs. Hanifin, I'll need you too sit up so I can put this in your back," She says to me and I nod sitting up as far as I possibly could.

"Okay great, now in about 2 hours the epidural will kick in and that's also when you are going to begin pushing," Tami said to me and threw the needle into the garbage bin, "Great!" I say trying to be as nice as possible, Matt just winks at Tami trying to get her number and shit.

2 Hours Later

"I feel glorious," I sing to them finally feeling the epidural and Tami just chuckles at me as well as the boys, "Ok honey, we are going to begin pushing, Matt come over here to the left side and Noah you hold her right side," Tami says and they race to the opposite sides of where they were standing, "Ok 1..2..3..PUSH!" Tami yells and she has another doctor, Paul, rub my stomach to help guide the baby out.

"I see him!" Noah says excitedly and I cry out from the pain and from all the commotion, "1..2..3..PUSH!" Tami yells and Paul then again guides him out more and he's already halfway out, "Alright Mrs. Hanifin, one more big push!" Tami says and I push one more time hearing my sons soft cries, Noah and Matt also begin crying since Matt just seen his nephew and Noah has just seen his son.

"He's so handsome!" Tami gushes as she hands me my son, Noah and I decided to name him Tyler Matthew Hanifin, "I cant believe we actually just had him," Noah sobs and I begin sobbing as Tyler attaches himself to my nipple, "Hi little guy, I'm your uncle Matthew," Matt said rubbing Tyler's tiny cheek, "I'm your daddy," Noah waves at the baby and Tyler smiles.

"He smiled at me!" Noah shouted excitedly and I saw doctors and other patients smile at him, "He already is a daddy's boy," I say to my husband and he smirks at me and pulls me into a soft kiss, "Hey Ty, this is your beautiful mother," Noah says to your son before you handed Tyler to Noah and you had Matt take a picture cause that was the first time his father held his son.

"I love all of you, but especially my wife and son," Noah says and I smile at him and he pulls me into a kiss and we take a picture.
