This chapter, uh, sucks, but it's mainly here as a filler chapter so bare with me

I walked down the stairs and into the common room, I saw my brother sitting there with Sirius. I bit my lip and thought about if I should. And I did. I took a deep breath then stepped off of the final step and made my way over to the couch. I plopped down next to James. Sirius was on the single chair to the left.

James looked at me with a confused look.

"I'm sorry," I said turning my head to look at him.

"Wh-what?"

"Sorry for being an annoying over exaggerating little sister, I shouldn't have stayed mad at you for this long. It was stupid, and I should've just forgiven you the very next day."

He chuckled. "You don't have to be sorry, and I'm glad you're forgiving me." He smiled, throwing an arm around my shoulder, I rested my head on his.

"Where are the other two?" I asked.

"Remus is tutoring Peter, he's falling behind a bit." Sirius said.

I nodded my head then stood up, "okay, well that was nice, I'm going now."

"Already?" James asked.

"Yeah, I've got more important people to see." I said sarcastically, walking over to the door.

"Oh yeah? like who?"

"Like my little brother. aka her boyfriend." Sirius smirked.

"He is NOT my boyfriend, Sirius!"

"yet" he winked.

I just glared at him before leaving the common room. I made my way into the great hall where Camilla and Alyssa were at studying.

"Hi." I smiled sitting next to them.

"Hey," Camilla said not lifting her head from the book in front of her.

"Hey, how you doing?" Alyssa asked looking at me.

"Good, actually, I finally talked to James and forgave him, but also apologized myself." I chuckled.

Camilla then finally looked up, "Finally oh my god." She laughed.

"well that's good to hear, now your Christmas break at home together won't be the most dreadful thing." Alyssa chuckled.

"Speaking of," I smirked then pulled out two boxes from my pockets. "Merry Christmas you two! I figured since we won't be staying here this break, I'd rather give you your gifts now instead of after break, and I didn't want to owl them." I handed them each a small neatly wrapped in silver wrapping paper box.

"awe, M, thank you. I however have slacked and figured I'd get your gifts from a shop once I get home." Camilla said opening her box.

"Yeah, me too." Alyssa chuckled.

I got them, and myself, matching rings, it may sound cheesy but we always talked about getting matching something since the first year, and luckily for us, we all have a different favorite metal color, Alyssa prefers silver, Camilla prefers rose gold and I like gold, and the set I found came in those three colors. And it was a simple thin ring with C.A.M engraved on it, which I did myself with a simple spell.

"Oh, Maddy. I love it." Alyssa said in a soft voice as she put it on her middle finger.

"We finally have matching rings! Thanks, M." Camilla said.

"Of course." I smiled at them. "Now I gotta go find Reggie before the train, I'll catch you two later."

It's not like I needed much time to find him, I already knew where he'd be. I walked up the stairs of the astronomy tower and there he was, standing with his arms on the railings, I made my way to his side and leaned up against the railing with my back, facing the other way.

"Hey." he smiled.

"Hey," I said back, he then turned to face the same way I was, back up against the railing.

"You excited for break?"

"Kind of, I'm more excited to not have to worry about classes for two weeks than anything." I chuckled.

"you? worried about classes? You're like second in our class." He chuckled.

"Second? Then whose first?" I turned my head to look at him.

He looked down at me and smirked. "Me of course."

"Oh really?" I raised my eyebrows and had a grin on my face.

"Yes really, but if it makes you feel any better, you aren't too far behind me." He winked.

I laughed and shook my head, "You've got it twisted there Reg."

"mmm, I don't think I do." He smiled and turned his head back to the front.

"Alright, enough school talk," I laughed. "Are you ready for break? I mean, I know Sirius and your mom don't get along, what about you and her?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "My mother and I get along a lot better than they do, we actually communicate with each other." He chuckled. "And because she thinks I believe in her views."

"And do you?" I asked, knowing exactly what the Blacks believe in.

"I mean I do but I don't, it's just the way I was raised, yah know?"

I nodded my head. "If I was a muggle-born, would you be my friend right now?"

"I want to say yes but I know the answer would probably be no, but this me would go and find that me and tell him to give her a chance." He winked at me.

I shook my head and let out a single laugh. "Well, I guess it's a good thing I'm a pureblood because I don't think you could travel to this reality where I'm not, to try and force them to be friends."

We both laughed at the thought of multiple realities.

"Anyways," I pat his shoulder. "We should get going before we miss the train." I push myself off the railing and start walking to the stairs.

"Yeah, I guess actually making the train is important." He chuckled then runs a little to catch up to me.

~

After a long train ride back I felt the train finally come to a halt. "Oh finally." I sigh and look at the two girls in front of me.

They both chuckle. "It wasn't that bad of a ride." Camilla added.

We all made our way out of the train and onto the platform. Everyone was running around looking for their parents, I instantly spotted mine, mainly because there were four boys causing a scene like always around them.

"Alright. See you guys in two weeks." I smile as I pull them into a group hug.

"Bye, M" Alyssa said.

"See you soon." Camilla added.

I grabbed my bag and made my way to my parents.

"Finally!" My mom said, immediately pulling me into a hug.

"There she is." My dad smiled, messing up my hair.

"Hi." I chuckled, wiggling my way out of my moms grasp.

"Alright James, say your goodbyes, we've gotta get going." Dad said.

The three of us started to walk away as he said his goodbyes. I then heard his loud footsteps running to catch up to us.

"Bye, Madeline!" The three boys shouted.

I turned my head and locked eyes with Remus "happy holidays, boys." I smiled then turned my head back around.

"I'm glad you all get along with each other's friends, that's a good thing." My mom said as she put either arms around James and my own shoulder.

"Oh yeah, we get along alright." James leaned his head forward and looked at me. I just rolled my eyes.
